Switch Joystick issue

Hi, I am looking for some help. One of the joystick controllers isn’t connecting to the Switch when I remove it from the console. The battery is low and I left it charging on the console all night but it didn’t work. Holding the sync button when searching for the controllers didn’t work either. Anyone have this same issue…
