Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Be Jaysus that is a €500 fine for you then.

oh as in, the TWO of us might have a glass of something and some nibbles while watching it = PARTY! LOL...

the concept of a "party" has shrunk dramatically in my mind of late..
my subconscious way of dealing with the restrictions I guess.. I try to have fun in any way possible... milking any excuse for a little celebration in the absence of life's normal social affairs.. (while adhering to guidelines zzzzz grrr)

I'd happily join a virtual party (is there any other kind these days???) - but I have to do a night shift later :(

But I'll be there, swilling the San Pellegrino like there's no tomorrow!! :D

A pal of mine lives local to Mike - they're rooting for him, hoping he'll open a restaurant in the neighbourhood!

    Lucky them!!

I can definitely see Mike opening a restaurant. I'm just wondering if his dessert will let him down here.

I hate this part 15 mins in and nothing cooked yet.

    Me too.

Pure padding. Complete waste of time.

It’s mine to lose - Alexina Has she sealed her faith, people who are too cocky rarely win.

    Mike - dessert
    Alexina - timing
    Tom - wacky cuisine mixtures

Any could do it, I reckon, but it's anyone's to lose!

    I like her attitude.

Hurray, 22 minutes in we're finally in the kitchen!

How many minutes for John and Greg waffling?

  • Registered Users Posts: 587 ✭✭✭twill

Yep, this could be close. Looking forward to it.

    Jesus, Alexina

I have no clue what Alexina's menu is about, but she's certainly going for it.

Like the sound of Alexina’s starter and main. Dessert not so much, not a fan of apples in desserts.

Mike picked a very simple dessert - probably sensible, but will it be enough?

Can't say any of the menus would do it for me - all a bit too out there (and I don't do seafood)

Mike‘s game is over, mistakes in the main and dessert.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,515 ✭✭✭✭HeidiHeidi

I'm gonna say it now, Mike hasn't done it

    High standard overall, though.

Going by their language, I'm guessing Tom will get the win - he'd want to really feck up with something not to.

I'm a huge gravy fan, but that sauce looks yuk :(
