Amazon shipping dates gone way out again on stuff in general.

Delivery showing as Thu 9th Jan for most things.😕

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 583 ✭✭✭noplacehere

they’ve just shipped my large boxes…. Individually. That is not going to be subtle outside the house 🙈

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,235 ✭✭✭The Continental Op

I've ordered EIGHT! All individual shipments with An Post. I'm not sure they will all fit in the postman's van?

Edit> If Amazon put those boxes which come in a cardboard box anyway in another box which they often do that won't be very helpful.

Wake me up when it's all over.

    What boxes are these?

I ordered something for my farm- not off amazon . 12 units 10 kg each. They'd normally be delivered by courier on a pallet but they came with the postman. Each was scanned individually, i got 12 emails that I'd have them the next day and another 12 that they were delivered. Just aswell I was here when he delivered them

Got 4 packs of the hand wash on s&s. 10% voucher works with it as does the 15%.

Cost me £10.78. £2.68 per pack of 2.

@romperstomper From looking at the spec and reviews on both projectors it seems the 61 euro Yaber E1 projector is brighter (18000 lumens v 7500 lumens). Also there is no spec for Bluetooth on the 40 euro projector but looking at reviews it seems some buyers got a projector with Bluetooth and some got a model without. It seems you need a separate dongle to stream wirelessly with the 40 euro projector. I can confirm the Yaber E1 is bright even just on a cream painted wall. See my photo above of a football match. The Bluetooth on it and casting are flawless. So depends what features you need really. Maybe someone who has the 40 euro projector can comment on its features.

    @romperstomper

RE: Hopefully as this is the post chat, there is a little forebearance for my basic Q. What is the difference between the 61e from @Treppen and the @The Continental Op projector ~40e ?

No idea as I can't find the one Treppen listed but what I would do is compare the following.

Resolution - quite low on the one I listed ideally should be much better.

Max distance projector to screen and brightness.

Inputs and Controls - Bluetooth, remote control etc

Edit> what @jj880 says :-) Suspect the Treppen one is the better one.

you can opt to pick up yourself from the p office if suitable

I always pick up from the local po as our postie drops items over the wall into the front garden and our estate is dodgy ref parcels etc going missing

I got the Amazon projector above and it's okay but you need to pair it with a fire stick or similar.

But I also got this one from Ali, and it's much nicer as it's a smaller form and easier to change angles, Also has Google play store built in so you can install your apps directly on it.

It has been as low as 38 euro when I bought it, but is about €48-50 now.

Anyone ever get a refund for items being returned even though they weren't returned? I bought two three things (€57,€57,&€33) spread out over 2 orders. And for some reason I got 3 emails yesterday that they've arrived back into the warehouse and my refund would be issued. My first thought was that it was a scam, but the money is back on my Revolut this morning. No idea why.

Thanks, £40 voucher applied and 20% discount stacked, so total £49.38. I didn't know that I wanted a projector!

This sounds like a great service but I can't find it on the an post website.

Is it some sort of local arrangement that you have set up with a post office or a postman?

    Is it free?

    Yes, it's free.

IIRC it's one of the 'alternative delivery options' you have when you get the text to say your parcel is due for delivery

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,300 ✭✭✭✭dulpit

Probably an issue with the delivery and it couldn't be delivered? It's happened to me once or twice where the item seems to get stuck in their delivery pipeline and never gets out for delivery. Eventually it bounced back to them and I got refunded.

That hand wash isnt the best, bought it before, I wouldnt buy it again, Aldi own brand handwash is cheaper and better.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 583 ✭✭✭noplacehere

well my neighbour must hate me. Absolutely everything that was due to arrive by Thursday this week arrived yesterday and today. And she had to take it all for me 🙈🙈. They’ve obviously got a handle on the supply chain properly again

Got my projector. F**** at the door by the amazon driver.

That's prime cancelled for a few months at least. Sent the video to customer service, didn't care!

"Got my projector. F**** at the door by the amazon driver"

Do you have to pay extra for that?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 524 ✭✭✭HorseSea

They must be tired after Christmas, my delivery was frisbee thrown at the door from the gate, across the garden and up two flights of steps. Fair play it landed right at the bottom of the door. Just glad it was nothing delicate!

the compression shorts in the no chat thread are the same ones I got from temu, 5 pairs were €8

Got all my delayed deliveries today .. stuff I ordered before Christmas, during Christmas and even stuffed I only ordered yesterday.. driver literally dropped them at the door ..

Walked up to the door opened his arms literally dropped them to the ground in a heap .. ..luckily nothing damaged as I had a few bits that were delicate enough..

Jaysus. My posty is an angel compared to some of these lads. Delivers to my parents if we're not in. Never a damaged package.
