I ordered two items from Amazon.de on Monday, and both had a delivery date of this coming Monday.

One of them shipped on Tuesday and is still yet to arrive.

The other shipped yesterday and arrived today - essentially despatched from Dublin (this was an electronics item with a EU plug so baffling!).

Essentially, they may end up just coming from Dublin.

I should really know better after the Auto Glym bargain debacle back in January. Thinking back I might have been told by CS they contacted fulfillment. Eventually after about 6 weeks they let me cancel and resubmit the order and refunded me the difference of about £30 ( @extrafluff ) I might just demand that tomorrow or I may as well forget about my package this side of Christmas.

German prime does not ship to Ireland for free. Trial or not.

Prime doest work from Germany. It's only covers Germany and I think Austria

Yeah I tried prime Germany too but it's not free delivery to Ireland. I usually just use Germany for when I need a few things together. My order from Germany the other day seems to be moving OK it's in France this morning.

If you create a business account on Amazon DE you get VAT removed for anything you order, even non business items.

Requires that you have a business and are vat registered obv.

With zero movement since and An post says haven't received package yet. I am not sure if this tracking means it's lost in Dublin or never made it over the water.

I ordered a few bits and bobs on the same evening in different orders just before the storm. All had been dispatched and gone through ie customs. Everything had gotten stuck in Holyhead (I presume). One of the items, the first to be ordered had gone through customs around 4am on the 7th and I got a message from an post this morning that it's out for delivery the next working day, which will be tomorrow. Just waiting on the rest to get moving. They went through customs around 8am the same morning.

Only one of the items I've ordered I need before Xmas for Xmas. I reordered that last night because it's giving me a delivery of Friday. I wasn't able to go through the refund process last night though. It looked like the Amazon system is at capacity. The order also seems to have been lumped in with a different item that was made in a different order. I don't know if I can cancel/look for a refund on a partial order or not. Everything else I've ordered I can wait for.

Yeah I'm 5am on the 7th too so hopefully there will be movement soon. I have also re-ordered with a delivery of Friday.

Other orders made days ago and not yet shipped. This is directly from Amazon with prime. I understand they are busy but they know Christmas is coming and they offer prime delivery as a service so it's poor all around. Maybe they are holding back dispatching due to the current backlogs to work through.

one of my orders was showing as not delivering until 28th so I reordered as a new order would come on Wednesday this week. I didn’t want to cancel the one coming on 28th until I knew the replacement was on its way. They were both dispatched this morning! I can return one but it’s a **** heap for Amazon I’d say!

2 days ago I tried to change the address on something (awaiting dispatch) from Donegal to Derry to avoid the Holyhead debacle. But when I had to use my card again because of a slight change in VAT I got an error message saying an error has occured and to try again later!! Maybe related to the capacity issue you mention. Things arrive much quicker to Derry and I have to call in to collect but at least Id know it's there before Christmas...

Just thought I'd update here. There's no movement on anything else so far today.

I had made three separate orders because some are presents, some are not and one order is from the big S, so I did them separately to try keep track of what would be in what package. One of the big S items arrived early last week, that managed to be out before the storm. The second thing in that order has been lumped together with a present from another order and thats the package on the way. So I still have the non Xmas present order and an Xmas present from a different order that are showing up on Amazon together to get out to an post. I don't mind orders being split, but it's gecking annoying now that orders have been mixed and trying to keep track of whats in what box.

Ordered phone from Germany on 5th, expected delivery date 11th has been extended to the 17th and if I dont receive by tomorrow I can apply for a refud. No update on tracking size 6th when it was in France. Hopefully it gets through tomorrow or I have to source a phone before Christmas day but I think I have time. Dont want to source phone from other vendor and then have to return this to Amazon
