I find Tronic ones OK as well - they are unlikely to be Eneloops in disguise or anything, but they work fine.

I went in on Monday to get the 8 for €8 deal - they had a fair few left - but as I happens I picked up 2 packs of 4 of their normal offerings (coloured green) which were reduced 30% ie 3.99 reduced to 2.79. (in the bin at the end of the middle aisle where all the random reductions are) Same spec - in my case I got the AAA so the capacity is 1000mAh, 1000 cycles which is the same as quoted for these multicolour ones.

Still no sign of being able to purchase batteries or power banks even with the warehouse in Dublin.. I had emailed customer service last year who said they do hope to stock some in Dublin .. no issues getting them delivered through address pal or other U.K. shops.

just thought i would mention the philips air fryer, i have always been a fan of the brand but i bought one of the xxl versions in november and it stopped heating after a month and swapped for another with amazon and the same thing happened again and on doing some reading it seems to be a common fault with them along with the coating coming off so if anyone does take a punt maybe keep the box handy for return shipping just in case.

we moved onto the cosori brand and its better value for money so far working fine too

No worries, if Lidl doesn’t work out, you could consider ordering from Ikea for collection in Limerick for €2.95. I appreciate this pushes the price up too and may not be suitable .

In this case all the reviews have a tag line saying that they were given the product for free for a review.

Just bought a couple of games overnight on amazon.co.uk got charged vat looks like they're shipping from Germany rather than UK should I expect any further customs or charges?

Nothing wrong. Amazon ship stuff to me ordered on .co.uk from Germany and France on a regular basis.

You can often spot items coming from the EU by the delivery times often 5-7 days.

Amazon deliveries can come from anywhere, I've ordered from Amazon Germany a good bit and it can come from all over Europe, orders have been split up and come from warehouses in different countries. Most stuff I've order on UK site does come from there though. Did have a set of sennheiser headphones I ordered from Spain once come from the UK since brexit!

Can be a real pain sometimes. Ordered 4 sparkplugs once which eventually arrived as 3 deliveries from 3 different countries. They were out of stock after the first two deliveries (2+1) and I had to wait ages for the final spark plug.

You can have ikea small items delivered to a local collection point for a small charge. Had one delivered to the gala petrol station and shop between birdhill and ballina recently for a few Euro.

I've the 120 version, which is a tiny bit more powerful.

The page quoted is about using an adaptor hose for tanks/butts that doesn't come with the washer. It's pricey enough (25 quid I think). You can probably build your own with a length of hose and some weights and a filter if you knew what you were doing. However even with their version It's a pain to ensure there's water in the hose before you start. If you don't have this it won't draw water. Their hose adaptor is somewhat transparent so you can at least see the water in it to get started. You will go through water surprisingly quickly and if you run dry you'll need to displace the air in the hose again. I did it a few times for cleaning the car and got sick of it and just got a longer hose to feed it from the mains. You should be ok if you've a tap at the base of your tank though that can feed with pressure.. this was all for just using an open container with no base feed.

The 120 was just enough power to clean baked in grime off the patio if you set it to the most direct jet (which hasn't much area so it takes ages). I'd say the 110 is for car washing and maintenance cleaning of patios / etc between deeper cleans. You'll probably find yourself wanting more pressure for tougher jobs. The biggest benefit of it is the size is really small and I managed to fit it in one of those garden bench/storage containers.

I picked up a pair of Soundcore A20i buds last week for 20 quid as a lightening deal. For something I just wanted as a cheap backup, I was amazed at the great sound quality.
