Cheating in weight loss comp?

My workplace is doing a biggest loser type competition for February.

Prizes 1st, 2nd and 3rd place and only 28 people have signed up so in with a good chance.

There's a Facebook group where we have all been posting food logs, workouts, walks etc although this is more for motivation than anything.

One guy in work claims to have lost 8 lbs already. I really struggle to believe it as he is a lazy kunt in work, eats incredibly unhealthy and has not posted one thing in the group yet. I really think he's bucking system at everyone else's expense.

It really annoys me as I've had to work hard to lose 3lb so far and I know many others are in the same boat.

Keto, hard to sustain but I dropped a lot of weight very quickly. 8lbs would fall off depending on your starting size..

Don't even need keto to do 8 pounds in a week. Depends on starting size really, I could drop 15-20 in a week without doing anything complicated but I'm a fat ****.

Reminds me of first night of preseason training were they be a weigh in. Lads used to be in saunas and everything the week before trying to shed weight.

I'd do the opposite and try gain as much as possible on the day, stuff in pockets for the weigh in. By the 2nd weigh in it always looked like I'd worked by bollox off

That's a skit. You had the right idea.

I honestly don't think this guy would have a clue about dieting (although I obviously can't confirm that). I was thinking more along the lines of fiddling the scales.

Steer clear of the Facebook Group - Unless you find it motivates you to focus on your own game. Comparing to others can be disheartening. Way too many variables to consider. Your only comparison should be to your past self and stay focused on your next action (meal, exercise, choice). All of that might sound very cliche but there is good reason why its tossed around so often and that's because it works!

Nah if he has a larger starting weight, the weight will fall off him if he sticks to a strict diet.
Those with more to lose, will lose more. Is the competition measured on most weight lost or % weight loss? He might have the competition in the bag if it is most weight lost.

Don't need to "know" much to lose weight in a short period of time. Just eat very little. If you're starting from a higher weight the amount you can lose in a short period of time will surprise a lot of people.
