Hi all, I'm newish to stock market/investing. I've learned a fair bit now *after* jumping in on Degiro, but didn't do proper prep before hand.

So, basically I've earnt about €2(!) on dividend payouts (with maybe a few more euro yet to come).

In future I'm probably going to avoid dividend stocks as I'm a long investor and dont want my accountant (Im self employed so got one already) to have to be faffing about with tiny dividend tax returns every year. But now I am where I and just wonder, is my accountant going to charge me extra for this?

Is filing a dividend return a whole new ball game, or is it more likely just a case of a two minute add on for him - just totalling those few euro dividends onto my existing self-assessment return as a sole trader (for which I pay him €500) - ie I just give him a couple page print outs evidencing the dividend return and he likely won't charge me any extra? Or is it a whole separate form etc?

    Thanks!

There is a section in the Form 11 for foreign dividend income so shouldn't create any extra work for you accountant. Just print off your annual degiro report and send it in.
