We've been offered places for our daughter in St. Fintans primary school, Sutton and the primary school in Howth. We're leaning towards Howth, I'd welcome any opinions / experiences of either.

    Thanks!

They're both perfectly good schools. Only deciding factor I can think of is how you plan to get there. Fintans is right on a main road, whereas Scoil Mhuire (which I assume is the other school you're talking about) is down a small road.

If you're driving, Fintans is a much better option, of course it's busy during the school run but not half as bad as Howth. Scoil Mhuire is on a two-way street, where last I heard the school now advises all parents to use a one-way system during school runs because all the yummy mummies were causing havoc driving bigger and bigger cars to the school every year and the road wasn't big enough for them.

If your kid is walking/cycling/bussing I'd say Scoil Mhuire is a better option, since Fintan's is on a main road. Especially outside of school run hours, cars peg it up that hill.
