I was hoping Ethan Coughlan would be making his debut this week :(

I imagine he'll get a run at some stage over the next while.

Salanoa's first start, I think. Looking forward to seeing how he goes.

I'd have liked Ahern to get the start but hopefully he gets 25-30 minutes.

Plenty experience on that bench in case things go awry.

A big game from Healy could see him become first choice outhalf for the rest of the season

Yeah, hopefully, be great to see him get a run although it is very early in his career. I'd imagine if he wasn't injured earlier in the season that he'd be more likely to get a run in this game.

That's a super team to put out, great mix and we get to have a look at the young lads. Delighted!

That's a decent Treviso team, but they are playing like a drain this season

Paddy Patterson straight into the fire.

Hope it goes well for him.

His passing and kicking for Leinster A were not good the other week. But he brings a lot of tempo

There is a lot of experience coming off the bench for Munster, I'd like to think they can win this comfortably even if it becomes a dogfight.
It's only Nick McCarthy's second start of the season and it's a big series of games for him.

Salanoa out. Archer starts with Ryan on the bench.

    That's a real shame

The one player I was looking forward to seeing getting a good run

    Absolute gift of a try.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,366 ✭✭✭yerrahbah

That first penalty was fortunate enough too. Great start

    Absolute gift of a try.

Hayward marginally unlucky but made an absolute dogs dinner of it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

Benetton on 3 penalties conceded already I think.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

Good play off the turnover after losing the ball near the line earlier.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,088 ✭✭✭✭Akrasia

    Nice broken play try there

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,878 ✭✭✭arsebiscuits1

Very little change on the maul for Munster

    What a try that is.

Maul hasn't been great so far. Some nice offloading there for the 2nd try

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,878 ✭✭✭arsebiscuits1

    Lovely try!!

3 top quality offloads in a row.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,878 ✭✭✭arsebiscuits1

At first glance Coombes and Goggin look extremely similar

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,311 ✭✭✭letowski

Lol who does a box kick when your 20 yards from the try line off a maul.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 551 ✭✭✭MaddChris

    Mccarthy charged down twice already.

Also, tv director needs to cop on. Nobody wants to see coach's faces in the middle of a line out throw.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,334 ✭✭✭✭aloooof

Liam Coombes having a very good game so far.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,088 ✭✭✭✭Akrasia

A more switched on side would have kept that penalty in field. Healy living dangerously

Scrappy 10 mins there. Trying to do too much

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,334 ✭✭✭✭aloooof

Sweetnam looked much too narrow there where we had numbers?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,878 ✭✭✭arsebiscuits1

Fluid rugby there by Bennetton. Great try.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,088 ✭✭✭✭Akrasia

Nicely worked try from Benneton there. Haley made a big mistake in the end

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,878 ✭✭✭arsebiscuits1

Ooof. Baby toe in touch there??

    Very close

Just on the whitewash, I thought, but you'd be raging if that was ruled out for yer own team.

James Downey is coming across very well, intelligent input

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 551 ✭✭✭MaddChris

Headless stuff in attack, no cohesion whatsoever.

Agree. One of those moments where "clear and obvious" direction gets you a get out clause

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,334 ✭✭✭✭aloooof

Munster will be very disappointed with this period with Benetton down to 14.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

    Not a great last 10-15.

Good job we got those two early tries because its been pretty poor stuff since

Time to move out of second gear now

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,366 ✭✭✭yerrahbah

    Why Cloete? Why?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

    That's just awful from Cloete.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 551 ✭✭✭MaddChris

And there's 1st of the obligatory Cloete penalties.

Time to move him on, all the potential but just a liability for these days.

Remind me, which team is top of the conference and which are bottom again?

He’s a player built for the new breakdown interpretations but his discipline just keeps letting us down

    Without derailing the match thread.

Is Hodnett considered a 7? If so the sooner he takes over from Cloete the better.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,366 ✭✭✭yerrahbah

    This is really poor stuff
