Nothing here either, well that was an anti-climax

I am forecast dry conditions until Tuesday. And I would rather have it that way as all these fronts are doing is increasing the likelihood of mild weather pushing through.

Looks like your preference may not happen. The question is, what is falling from the sky for you this morning? Radar suggests moderate snow approaching you from the south west.

Although it's still raining here in Offaly, temperature interestingly has dropped from 2.3 an hour ago to 1.7.DP 0.6. Very marginal. Sleet I suspect not far away.

A mix of sleet and wet snow now in Sligo Town

This was always a snow on higher ground levels only. A wet day across the country to be expected but stating cold. Those waiting for snow your best bet is to hold on until next weekend when the winds arrive from the east and there is a higher, but not certain chance.

From what I can see of the hills through the cloud there seems to be a good covering on them already

Further northeast in North Kildare, the temperature has dropped from 2.4° half an hour ago to 1.8° now but strangely the sleet/wet snow mix has changed to pure rain.

OK, definitely a few flakes mixed in now. Classic wintry mix. Ground wet though. Even if we got snow, we'd need an hour solid before it started to stick. Unlikely.

Sleety/icy light rain in Dublin 16. 2.4c atm.

Looking at some weather stations in south Dublin & north Wicklow, it looks like there is some colder air at fairly modest elevations so evaporative cooling could bring snow to lower levels (away from coasts with an on-shore breeze) in the coming hours, in areas where the warmer air does not reach.

Rain has turned to wet snow in this part of Meath. Not sticking yet but more and more flakes as it’s getting heavier.

Which part of Meath are you referring to? Some parts of Meath go above 250m in the NW of the county.

Better than north Kildare where it's just light rain now. I'm tempted to send the drone out to see at what height the rain turns to snow.
