...In what way did you ensure there was no GUI launching?...

Hopefully the problem is something I have forgotten and you might recall :D ...

Missed that question last month - sorry about that.
This is how I did it - I changed default "runlevel"to 5 - GUI only runs in level 3.

Did your system stay awake for you since?

Yes it has behaved reasonably well since, thanks.
I removed the USB DVB-T tuner from the Zgemma, and plugged two of them into the Tvheadend server, from where they have behaved very well.
I began to suspect that having the DVB-T attached coupled with how I (did not) set things up was the cause of my weirdness.
It now appears it was as all has been good recently.

Everything going well for your set up?

    .

Everything going well for your set up?

Was pretty good until about a month ago. Getting lots of breakups on channels and "video could not be played" messages since then.
Satellite channels are mostly fine, but the HD saorview ones rarely work. The streams work fine on vlc, but two different android clients on three different boxes all have the problem. Forcing stream to matroska rather than htsp seemed to help, but it didn't stick.

I just upgraded tvheadend to the 4.3 branch from git this afternoon, but haven't configured it yet. Pain in the neck doing a fresh install of channels! Maybe it'll make a difference!

    Bummer :(

Hope it comes good for you with 4.3.

This is one of the skins from openVix. There are many different skins available depending on which image is installed. I like this simple black look similar to the dark theme on my PC.

You might get further responses if you ask in the H.7S thread rather than this H.2S thread.
