Being a bit naughty as it’s a school night and it’s getting past my bedtime...

But do you have a “comfort” smell? An aroma that might remind you of a happy childhood, a really enjoyable holiday, a loving relationship or just a happy time in your life?

For me, some of the aromas include that of :-

    Karvol (decongestant capsules)
    Badedas
    Freshly baked bread
    Petrol
Fresh ground coffee (I hardly drink it, mind)
    Peppermint
    Sweet Pea
    Roses
    Freshly laundered sheets
    Christmas tree (real)

I bake bread 3-4 times a week here in the bread maker overnight.

One of my usual routes during my walk takes me past the local bakery, and the smell of all of the fresh bread wafting in the air is divine.

Earlier on the route, in non-lockdown times, I would pass a few restaurants, and that distinctive smell of I think gravy or meat cooking coming from the kitchens makes me salivate.

The first time you immerse yourself in fresh bed sheets and turn your head to the other side of the pillow. And the first time you put on your favourite hoody after a wash.

Someone mentioned it earlier, but yeah "petrichor", particularly on your holidays in a warm country when the evening is setting in, is great.

    here's a quirky one....

...i detest cigarettes esp when smoked indoors the smell lingers for days

BUT i have to confess i kinda like the smell of cigarettes outdoors esp in a public park on a summer's day kinda reminds me of my youth i suppose, one of those smells i associate with summer and summer holidays spending time with relatives that smoked

Some hand sanitizers strike the perfect balance between too little alcohol and too much. TerminB8 hand sanitizer is very pleasant and has a lovely feel to it.
