Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Welcome to KolidoVision - That's What I Kol The 80s
Anyone familiar with Surlaw will have no idea what is going on here. That is because I have changed the format slightly. I will not be providing the playlist, we all will.
Format:
Please PM me 1 song from the 80s, this will be your nomination for the tournament.
Please also send me 3 countries in your PM, in the order you prefer them, this will be used as flava during the reveal, I will take the first one available to you.
In the event you nominate a song already picked, I will ask you to pick another.
After the playlist is created, I would hope for around 15 players, I will post the playlist and ask you to rank your top 10, as we do in surlaw. You obviously will not be permitted to score your own song. In short, if you nominate a song, I hope you will be around to rank the playlist also. It's all or nothing here.
I have no idea how this will work or if anyone will e even interested, but let's see how it goes.12

I don't understand this bit. Are you looking for songs from 3 different countries?
Just 1 song, the countries I will use to hide your identity during the reveal. I ask for 3 so if someone picks same country, you have 2 backups. The song is the important part, I can give you a country name if you like

I went the other way. There were two songs I thought I knew and loved, then when I listened to them I realised they're not that greatThere's 2 songs that I've never heard before and are in my top 5!
This is a win right there!
Obviously I haven't listened till then for ages, I'd got an idealised memory of them in my head0 -

I might recognise them when I listen to them later, but straight off there are four songs on the list I don't know, and also the artist for one of them. Really good list though (well maybe with the exception of Wham), just adds greater credence to the fact that the 80s was the best decade for music. 0
