Think Marshall is lucky not to get a card there.

    Clearly slide tackles Henshaw.

    Defo should be a card

Not a hope it's a card, lads. When has anyone ever got a card for that?

Lads Rhys Marshall is an awful player. Who the hell are Ireland going to pick at 2 in the 6N?

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,757 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

James Cronin's appalling discipline is keeping Leinster in this game.

This is Munsters game for sure

    I don't think so.

Its a fascinating contest, in fact the first half has had what feels like 80 minutes of action.

But Leinster have a superior bench and greater ability to move through the gears. I expect them to take it by 5 to 10.

You'd have to wonder what the problem is with Leinsters lineout. Malfunctions far too often in key areas.
Its a complete systems issue as big issues have come up regardless of what players have been on the pitch

Beirne steals the ball despite not supporting his own weight. Leinsters errors are hard to take as a fan, but when the ref misses something blatant like that it just makes it worse.
He was perfectly fine to turn over.
Ref needs to watch James Ryan and all his crawling on ground trying to get extra yards. Blatantly done it 2/3 times already

    "Use it"

8 seconds later Murray picks it up
It may be in law that its 5 seconds but no ref will ever call it after 5.

Points swing there, could be important

And the ref gave out to Henshaw for shouting at him ffs

As he should, back talk to the ref has no place in rugby.

A good way to finish that half. Well worked up the pitch by Leinster to get in a scoring position.

I don't know about keeping Leinster in the game. First 15 minutes were all Munster for sure, but it's been all Leinster since then - we've just struggled to translate it into points.

Leinster will win this easy in the second half

Munster need to play an error free game but unfortunately the little errors are being punished

    Leinster far far more dangerous

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,182 ✭✭✭✭Buer

Strong finish from Leinster to be back within 4 at the break. Nicely poised but Munster will be kicking themselves for not having pushed this out of reach in the first quarter. Back to back line outs lost well inside Leinster territory is very unlike them.

Similarly, Leinster really blew a sustained period of pressure in the Munster 22, coming away with nothing.

Anyone's game although I feel the biggest influences respectively have been poor execution from Leinster and some silly penalties from Munster.

I really hope we don’t see Marshall or Cronin after half time. They are both killing Munster.

    Clever play. Hasn’t been held.

    Good half
Munster will be kicking themselves, handed 6 points to Leinster through silly penalties

Broadcast wise How is Toland allowed to commentate on Leinster game still? He doesn’t even try and hide the bias. It’s incredible

    Foot trip. Dangerous play

Larmour has been poor in the air. Haven’t been too impressed by McGrath either.

Biased towards Leinster? Think you'd have just as many Leinster in blue saying he's biased towards Munster.

Sign of good commentator that he annoys everyone.

May not have been held but you cant just crawl if not held. If on ground you cant be playing the ball like that.

Encouraging from a Leinster perspective that we managed to monopolise possession for about 20 minutes.

But very concerning that we can't convert that to points. We're struggling at the lineout.

Always sticking it to the ref. Some things never change.

It’s not just that Marshall penalty, he has thrown crucked and over thrown line-outs too.

Didn't brace call it against mcgrath a few games ago

It's like playing the all blacks. You need to be beating Leinster by 20 points at half time to have a hope of winning. Try bonus point win incoming for Leinster.

There is no way how anyone could think Toland is biased towards Leinster.

A good commentator and him shouldn’t be mentioned in the same breath.

Leinster should have been taking the points from early on, not opting for scrums and kicks to touch.

I do fancy them for the second half though. They seem to get into good positions pretty quickly and munster seem to be under a fair bit of pressure.

Larmour is having an absolute mare in defence.

Sexton is past his due date. So then it just comes down to brute force vs brute force. And Munster are well good at that
