I’ve said this more than once in various Donald trump related threads, but the Nixon family and the Nixon presidential library must be secretly delighted that trump became president, because Nixon is looking statesmanlike next to him. Nixon had many faults and is the only president to resign, but compared to trump, Nixon had actual policies formed on something other then “how does this benefit me ?”

Oh and in trump world I see a sitting member of Congress in rep Louie Gohmert asked with a straight face whether the United States could alter the moons orbit to fight climate change. I mean ffs it’s a parody at times.

And people since why folks on here maintain ridiculous defences of trump (or used to)

what was worse was that he asked the Forestry Service, who are the natural choice for such a question.

And I must say the official should get a medal for the fact she didn’t burst out laughing. I tip my hat to her. Responsibility for orbits of the moon is in the fine print of that organisation.

Now, it was already ridiculous, but this ridiculousness is getting ridiculous. The same groups worried that ballots were being shipped in from overseas and other states have taken the ballots across state lines - several states at that.

I guess! They're not hiding the fact they trucked it out of state to a lab somewhere in Montana.

Gas thing is that the voting machines are now completely useless and have to destroyed as the chain of custody with the election officials has been broken, so the integrity of the machines for reuse cannot be guaranteed

You can safely assume state legislatures will buy voting machines from companies they have met in person.

    Gotcha?

    https://www.mcclatchydc.com/news/politics-government/article252177178.html

“We got them by surprise in ‘16, and in ‘20 we did much better than we did in ‘16,” Trump told Hannity. “Shockingly, we were supposed to win easily at 64 million votes and we got 75 million votes. We didn’t win, but let’s see what happens on that. The whole thing was shocking.”

First rule they teach in law school: Don't waste the judge's time.

I wonder what kind of sanctions can be imposed. This will be very amusing.

A remote lab in Montana? Who's testing the ballots, Dr. Methcook and a highly motivated team of backwoods tweakers?

    Aka the 'Cyber Ninjas'.

    Seriously, that's their actual name

MyPillow Guy got utterly shut down by Jordan Klepper when he couldn't defend his grift, which is not far removed from 'the bill will be out in 2 weeks' except they've been telling followers 'he'll be president again in january' 'he'll be president again in march' 'he'll be president again in august' 'trust me just donate more money so we can keep auditing' etc.

He tried for a second too you could see the gears lurching and then he just storms tf off.

Also enjoy some pretty apparent white supremacists in the vid.
“It’s like watching that Bigfoot show,” the Daily Show host said. “They don’t find Bigfoot at the end, but if you tune in next week, maybe it’s going to happen.”

Lindell didn’t like that comparison and stormed off with a disgusted wave, saying, “You guys are horrible.”

Not by the judge. Fine and/imprisonment are the options.

Pence's greatest gift is his ability to dissociate himself from reality when he chooses. Probably doesn't even remember this. He is invulnerable to shame, he seemingly feels nothing.

his ability to dissociate himself from reality when he chooses

He's a god-botherer so wouldn't be too hard in fairness.

Not by the judge. Fine and/imprisonment are the options.

The Judge can refer them to the state Bar for (presumably) disbarrment, but you're correct Judge's don't disbar directly in the US (as a rule, it's handled on a state by state basis, and there may be a few where this can happen.)

Wtf is wrong with Pence?, Trump whipped up a mob to attack the senate with Pence as their prime target for lynching but Pence still supports him, Stockholm syndrome or just wants to president in 2024?

That's it. Not in 2024 though unless Trump is completely and totally out of the picture (as in can't even talk to the press) but maybe 2028.
Doesn't want to alienate the 74M.

The private conversations of Pence, McCarthy, Graham would be very interesting to hear. They've had all the opportunity in the world to cut loose on him but have chosen to stay on side.
