Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Stupid from Beirne there and lucky not to have a penalty against him.

    Has Murray grown?

    Looks huge next to Blade!

Wooten for an intercept try. I expect him to be very focused for this game. He just got so little game time at Munster and when he did I always thought he had potential. Munster didn't seem to have much belief in him but Connacht are giving him the opportunity and he hasn't let them down yet

He’s not from one of the schools so he doesn’t get to hang around for about 6 seasons too long (only joking ... kinda).

He had a knee down. Not a maul.

    Disappointing miss by Carty there.

At least kicking from the tee won’t decide who is the Irish 10!

Sexton awful last night. And kicking to touch.
Would love to know what his stats off the tee are since 2019

Frank you are a pain in the arse. Constant blowing and no game. It would drive anyone nuts

Jack Carty is like a French team. You just don't know which version will turn up

Not really. His general play is fine but its just countless big errors when he makes then.

Almost once a game he'll miss touch with a penalty, kick a ball dead from play, miss an easy penalty.

His mistakes are brief but they're always extremely costly and why I don't ever see him making it for Ireland.

    Where's Delahunt?

Just put on a hooker for the love of God! Commentary somehow missed Delahunt getting a yellow card, Jesus wept.

    Cá bhfuil Delahunt?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,997 ✭✭✭realhorrorshow

Delahunt got a yellow for collapsing the maul, even though I thought it was Conor Oliver. Would need to see it again.

Bucks taking lineouts? I think I'm on drugs again.

    Where's Delahunt?

Frank didn't allow the replacement. What a complete twar

I’ve a feeling Kleyn will be retiring soon
Looks...Not right after nearly every collision near the head

  • Registered Users Posts: 423 ✭✭AlfaZen

Harsh penalty there for a tackle in the air.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,790 ✭✭✭✭Burkie1203

Why was there a YC? Tg4 don't have the YC on the scoreboard graphic

Maul collapse. Literally everyone seems to have missed it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,591 ✭✭✭Tristram

    Cronin in trouble?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,873 ✭✭✭Redo91

There was a yellow? Poor refereeing to not allow Heffernan to come on.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,064 ✭✭✭ElisaAtWar

Frank, you are just destroying what could have been a really entertaining game.

Missed it too. Think it was the penalty that JJ converted. Only know there was one from Munster Twitter.

God this is painful to watch.

Last felt more like the exception than the Ulster game to me, and nothing here so far changed that perception.

He's not. Connacht are sloppy and losing every collision. They're making unforced errors.

Murphy just happens to be the one with the whistle.

Literally had no clue Delahunt was sin binned.

Munster are completely dominant at the breakdown so far

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

That was dopey by POM. Clearly shoved the jumper on his way down.

Bewildered that an entire broadcast team could miss a sin bin.

Happened while replays were being shown

That counter ruck that ended the advantage was like watching two different age grades against one another. They just pushed the Connacht players out of the way.

    Maul defence is a disgrace.

Edit: absolutely brain-dead from Masterson Jr

It’s like Kris Kamara missing the red card with Jeff Stelling went over to him years ago!

Connacht maul defence has been a problem all season.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,873 ✭✭✭Redo91

That has to be one of the harshest YC I’ve seen (well I didn’t because I missed it like most it seems). No idea how you can YC a player for collapsing a maul on the 22 when it’s the team’s first penalty!

It's a bit like men vs boys at the moment .. Connacht have to get their act together quickly or there could be another try or 2 in this half

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

How long did it take Murphy to see Masterson spoil that maul?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,997 ✭✭✭realhorrorshow

Absolutely, it's as bad as you'll see at professional level.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,269 ✭✭✭Thrashssacre

Connacht need to seriously work on the maul defence its killing them against heavier sides losing 10/15 meters in half the line outs is just not gonna cut it.

De Allende taken down around the neck clearly there

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,705 ✭✭✭The Inbetween is mine

Surprised that was left go..DDA had arms around his neck in that tackle

I think he is generally a very fair referee but sometimes it’s like he is trying too hard to make sure he is not showing any Munster bias.

But after that TB penalty maybe he just preferred his time playing for Connaught

I think Murphy might have been on the opposite side and unsighted but TJ should have called it

Connacht bought that pen. Tackler nowhere the ball

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

    Beirne wasn’t slowing that.
