That was a bad pass but there was no knock on

Poor one from Blade - not quite sure it was a knock on though

He's a legend obviously but Denis Buckley has had a really poor season.

Mail defence is embarrassing, new forwards coach can't come fast enough.

Unloading a submachine gun into their own feet as usual here

    Oh, Connacht.

Nothing new but lineout maul defence really is almost comically bad.

Can’t remember seeing a professional side having such an obvious glaring weakness for an entire season.

Defense has been an absolute shambles.

On first view a wasted challenge too.

Maul and defence...but what was Oliver doing for that penalty

Who would have thought at 16-0 youd feel like turning the game off before the half hour mark... Christ.

    Hummmm

How can you captain challenge what the ref actually saw??

    I saw grounding

    I want to Challenge

    Bizarre

    That has to be short

If the TMO says no evidence, Frank still has to say he saw it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,442 ✭✭✭its_phil

What an awful use of captain challenge. Frank gave him an out and all.

    Both challenges wasted

    That's highly bizzare

    Getting destroyed at the breakdown.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,047 ✭✭✭Bazzo

At least 2 players stood right beside that tackle without bothering to clear out

Looks a like a full house in the sportsground.

Jesus this is embarrassing. Thank God Leinster were asleep at the start or it could have been a 60/70 nil situation

Luke McGrath: I'd like to make the worst captain's challenge of the season, please.

    Butler: I got this.

Would like to see Frawley tackle on Murray again looked like no arms to me,

Sorry no on the other angle was fine but seems to have for a nasty injury

Did he go off for a head knock after?

Frawley looks like he just KO'd himself tackling Murray there

Oh no, Frawley in a bad way there.

At first glance I thought Murray was in trouble but no, just bad technique in the tackle.

    Phew

Just blow it up at half time...... O'Loughlin looked off to me there but why bother looking

If only there was some mechanism for the captain to challenge it!

    Well said!!!

I think that half pretty well sums up Connacht this season

Maddest game I can recall in recent times.

Leinster aren't even good. Connacht just switched off completely. Not committing anyone to their own ruck ball. The Fardy turnover looked like a training drill.

Biggest talking point for me is the embarrassing captain's challenges. McGrath trying to save his own blushes. Butler trying to contradict what the referee has just seen with his own eyes.

Both teams should be roasted at the break, to be honest.

Shame to see a couple of mildly nasty injuries in the first half.
