Massive opportunity now. Brives redult means Newcastle have nothing to play for which i guess is a double edged sword.

Minimum needed is a win to get us 2nd seed but a bonus point win gives us a clear home path all the way.

Hopefully we can take this chance.

This is a shameful display. Even allowing for unexpected results why go so strong against Brive A and then leave key players at home for what was always going to be a tough game. We'll be away in last 16 at this rate.

Can someone remind me who's playing for top spot in this pool and who's got nothing to play for? Based on this performance you'd swear Connacht were the latter. Connacht have their fair share of shameful display's but this is up there.

All the penalties and access Newcastle have had has been of Connachts own making.

If we can make Newcastle work there might be something in this game but need some control

And ofcourse now that they are back in the game they go back to not being able to do anything right again. Its a serious talent to be this good at switching on and off al the time and at the exact right/wrong times.

I do think in the end its not the worst thing in the world that Andy Friend is moving on at the end of the season, these up and down performances are just far too common and it's quite clear nothing is being done to rectify it.

In big danger of messing up home last 16 now
