    2FTs.
Any thoughts on WBA defenders, with an eye on the DGW? Would expect them to get progressively more solid under Sam.

Furlong £4.5. Always strikes me as a walking yellow card, though actually just has two.
Ajayi £4.8. Not sure the extra .3 is merited.
O'Shea £4.3. Likely to hold place?
Gibbs £4.3. Vague memory of him being useful, though maybe that was when Arsenal picked up clean sheets.

Will be keeping Grealish been one of the top players in league this season and although tough fixtures coming up still expect him to produce.

Would probably go as cheap as possible as you're probably not really expecting attacking returns.

Gibbs perhaps as may you an assist or two.

Probably a question that's been asked a million times but if i bank my transfer next week and then free hit in GW18, do i have two FT in GW19?

    Something tells me i don't.

Very good question sir but I would have thought you get to keep them.

You only have the one transfer after a free hit as far as I remember unless it has changed this year

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,634 ✭✭✭✭siblers

Yeah, you will lose your second transfer if you Free Hit, it won't carry over

If you also make a transfer and then FH in the same gameweek, that transfer will be counted as part of the FH and won't be permanent which is a bit annoying

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,355 ✭✭✭Jim Gazebo

Therefore no point carrying a transfer into a free hit?

I have two free transfers and was gonna take him out but the alternatives are meh so sticking with him too

Better off to use the gw before

    Lamptey out, Justin in

If only there was early Man City team news.

Also have two free transfers and was thinking of shipping him out but think I will hold now.....

Wonder will Justin be a starter for Leicester when Peireira returns?......Justin seems to be playing very well at the mo.Might bring him in for Ogbonna.

Looks like DCL is gonna drop tonight

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,128 ✭✭✭NabyLadistheman

Can’t actually bring myself to bring Son in and have a double up with Kane after watching that tonight. Don’t want to burn a transfer though and nothing obvious standing out

Taking the chance on Ben Johson keeping his place with West Ham and swapping him in for Matip. Gives me enough funds to go DCL to Vardy with next weeks transfer so I think it's worth taking a chance on it, but I'll probably have to give up on playing the bench boost in the double game week unless I use the second wildcard straight away which might be a waste.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,667 ✭✭✭Klonker

Made a very unsure DCL and KDB to Kane and Maddison for a minus 4 :o

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,729 ✭✭✭dr.kenneth noisewater

DCL/Grealish to Vardy/Soucek for -4 was the plan but tempted to get Kane instead of Vardy now

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,317 ✭✭✭munster87

Would you start Coufal or Soucek this gw!? Feel both is overkill but doomed to starting the wrong one!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,768 ✭✭✭Cartman78

Was set to bank but KDB to Son seems mildly tempting atm.

Would mean no City attack and I know Spurs not on fire either

Am I mad to consider an arsenal player for a three week punt before my wc? Nice fixtures. Tierney, saka and lacazette look the best of them

I am in the very same boat and don't know weather to use the transfer on my bench get rid of KDB or keep the transfer.

Yes it’s a pretty bad transfer imo (not to deter you).

    The result against Chelsea was a bit of an anomaly I think;

Penalty that on another day isn’t being given
    Free kick goal (fair enough)
    Goal from a mis-hit cross

Still the issue of not being able to score from open play (not including the Saka goal there)

Constant low percentage chances from crosses into the box.

I think there’s better choices in the game personally but definitely wouldn’t go with an Arsenal defender anyway.

Only Arsenal player that would tempt me is Martinelli. He's a great enabler at his price

Martinelli is a good player. I'm surprised at his low price. I disagree with the above, there was a noticeable change with the effort in the team with the 3 young lads in the team behind Lacazette, they created a lot more chances than usual but I'd probably wait one more game to see if it was a one off.

I'm tempted by Wilson to Martinelli but will give it another week, want to see if it was a once off or if Arsenal have turned a corner

Yea I'm doing the same, I'm considering Martinelli and Kane in for De Bruyne and Brewster next week.

Feic. Can't see myself bringing him in so with Soucek as my 5th midfielder

For any James, Chilwell or Silva owners, this guy has links to Chelsea and tweeted pictures of the Italian, Spanish and German flags.

People are putting 2 and 2 together and speculating that Emerson, Azpi and Rudiger will be starting.

Agree and the question is will he stick with the young lads or go back to Willian etc when available. Definitely a wait and see for me.

My other option is Grealish to Son and DCL to Adams for a hit but that doesn't seem worth it either.

Madison in for Grealish is another option but not convinced....I reckon Grealish has a huge haul in him soon. Will probably bank and drop 500K in OR

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,067 ✭✭✭✭eh i dunno

Doubt martinelli will start again after such a long lay off. Auba will come back in

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,326 ✭✭✭✭Fitz*

JWP - Saka had tempted me alright as Arsenal have some nice fixtures but going to hold out and wait to see how they play first and maybe consider it next week.

    DCL - Aguero this week.

Grealish: Do I stick or twist?

Genuinely don't know who I'd replace him with... Maddison maybe? Or Barnes? Not overly thrilled there

It's an awkward price and lose .3 on him as things stand, plus Chelsea and United probably aren't the brick walls that the red on the fixture ticker suggest

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,754 ✭✭✭Dr. Bre

Brought in meslier for guaita. Leeds have a dgw coming up and that was in my mind. Also palace leaking goals

I'm keeping him for now hes been very unlucky with points last few weeks. It's not as if hes actually playing badly so there's that potential there you won't really get with other players of similar price.

Holding a transfer this GW. Nothing at all I can see worth doing.

Nobody replying in the WC thread so thoughts on this WC lads...

    McCarthy, Meisel
    Chilwell, Robertson, Dallas, KWP, Justin
    Bruno, Salah, Soucek, Anguissa, Son
    Bamford, Adams, Vardy

    0.2 banked.

All players have DGWs bar Son. Plan is to FH the week before and bench boost on DGW.

Same. Was looking at replacing Wilson but no one is jumping out at me in that price range and maybe he might pick up something against a patched up Pool defence. Two fts will be more valuable next gwk I think.

Vardy is reported to be rotated this GW if you didn't know, was reported in one of the threads yday.

    3-4-3 each/most weeks?

Only thing I would say is the lack of City but tbf, they haven't been on form at the moment. Have you any plan to get KDB or someone in should they begin to click?

Hard to fault that squad. Would you consider starting with Kane instead of Vardy? I know Spurs have been awful but good chance Vardy could be rested against Palace. KWP has two tricky away fixtures in the DGW. Think I'd prefer a West Ham defender even though they haven't been keeping too many clean sheets, but they have Burnley and West Brom at home that week.

Good squad with dgw bench boost in mind. Only concern might be Vardy, seems to be a lot of talk of him being rested this gw

Chilwell and Vardy are unlikely to start this GW.

    Very good otherwise.

I've had KWP from the start of the season and would lose value on him.

I don't have the extra funds for Kane. Vardy may be rested but I want to just play the WC without having to plan for future transfers because you don't know what will happen re injury etc.

I assume Meisel is a typo for Leeds keeper? Giving yourself a rotation headache if that's the case.

Also think you have a lot invested in defence. Maybe Chilwell to Zouma? Frees up funds then you can upgrade Soucek or Anguissa.

Had 2FT so used one to go from DCL to Tammy Abraham....was looking at Abraham’s some Stats and any time he gets a run of games he tends to deliver and Werner is not scoring so gambling that we see Tammy start the next 3 or 4 games.

Impressive team. Bissouma instead of Anguissa? Easier fixtures for next 2 weeks. Transfer to Anguissa or similar in 19.

I will play McCarthy most weeks. Meisel just for the DGW. Will transfer him out more than likely then.

Chilwell to Zouma only frees up 0.2. Zoruma 5.9. Chilwell 6.1.
