Feck it I benched Martinez for Johnstone. Thinking Johnstone could get save points v Newcastle and Villa would concede v Wolves.

First time I have two keepers all season and it looks likely it will be way wrong.

Same here. Martinez racking up the points and Newcastle looking stronger than I thought.

The -4 to bring Johnston’s in last week is looking awful.

Martinez with another good save from Dendoncker shot - he should score

    Martinez second save point.

That Fabio lad might be worth a punt going forward assuming he starts most games.

Villa are going to be missing a good few first teamers for the Burnley game through injuries and suspensions.

Of course the customary late yellow by him. That crap annoys me no end.

Has there really been 9 yellow cards so far in this match

Its very annoying but to be fair to the lad, he gets kicked from one end of the field to the other, not really surprising that he dishes it out a bit every now and then

Penalty to Villa - McGinn fouled

El Ghazi on penalty duty and scores

Sounds like a total smash and grab and a bonus blank for grealish to match my Jota blank.

Martinez still miles ahead on bonus

There was no reason to believe this though? Watkins has been the penalty taker all season.

Konsa and Grealish in that. I'll take it.

It was Watkins, as I know from his missed penalties

He's missed 3 of his last 6 pens. No hope he was taking this one.

Benched Konsa but happy with 11 from Martinez.

    Wolves badly missing a striker.

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,672 ✭✭✭ScummyMan

Just Martinez in that, can't get much better than that!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,298 ✭✭✭✭gammygils

    7 (-4) from 2 and 20 from 2 on my bench

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,447 ✭✭✭Ginger n Lemon

Ive never seen so many cards in 1 game.

    Mike Dean the legend.

I am a proud Martinez owner and at some stage I wanted that young lad for Wolves to take few more shots for Martinez to save to get that 3rd extra save point.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 42,193 ✭✭✭✭Scorpion Sting

19 (-4) from 4. Martinez doing the heavy lifting.

It's really strange how some of the smaller teams, take penalty duties off players when they miss one, but other teams don't care - they have a penalty take and unless they miss a few on the trot they stick with them - Vardy, KdB, Bruno have all missed penalties this season but there be no doubt they would be on the next.

I see strong NUFC side and Wilson starting, wishing all those who bought & captained him many Wilson goals.

Hopefully 2 +, WBA are woeful

That Martinez haul is painful. Really thought Wolves would score. My hit for Johnstone is currently costing me 15 points 😫

Ye just as bad when he is waving at you from the bench, toss up between him and McCarthy, went mccarthy

This idea that he missed 3 of his last 6 is kinda stupid, given that he was on penalty duties when he came to the club, when his stats where missed 2 out of 4.

FFS El Ghazi post match said "Appreciate Jack gave it to me"

Exactly, thought Newcastle would be in bits. Spent -4 this week because wasted a transfer on Johnstone last week. Possibly a 20 point swing now.

Worst part brought in Watkins for pens this week and he did not even take it!

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

The line has to be drawn somewhere, though. His last penalty miss cost his team a point. 6 penalties, 3 misses is a woeful record.

I really don't get why you're so shocked he's off them. If he had missed today, 50/50 of that, he would've cost his team 2 points.

He's a sh1t penalty taker. That's the crux of it.

Yeah everyone keeps throwing that stat out there but he wasn't the peno taker at Brentford, had taken one peno since 2018 when he joined

There we are, Smith just confirmed Grealish would have taken it if El Ghazi wasn't on the pitch so Grealish on penos going forward

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,083 ✭✭✭Chesty08

El Ghazi says pens are between Watkins & Jack!

    But he takes it??

Absolutely sickened as Watkins owner (with West Ham game, now this) and taken Martinez out last week.

    Massive swings in points. Heartbreaking

    Does El Ghazi not play?

No El Ghazi won't start games and won't come on in many either, if Trezeguet was fit it's him and Traore for the right wing position and they always get subbed for the other.
