The extra 5 days of PS Plus free is causing people alot of hassle with PS Plus subs that run out on Black Friday sale time.

Pretty funny. I'm hoping the rumours of cheaper sub next week is true, mines been up since December. Luckily the Jan Essential games were so poor. Id bought and platinumed Stanley Parable already and tried SS KtJL for 4 hours on trial.

Does the expiry not matter though I thought people could stack their deals?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,388 ✭✭✭jj880

Im expired also. Didn't hear about any deals next week. Hopefully its true.

Yeah I think you can. Cant remember why I didnt stack last black Friday but I dont mind waiting. Im in no panic.

You can still stack subs but Sony will not offer you a discounted sub if your current one expires outside of the offer window. Some people do receive personalized offers near renewal but isn't guaranteed.

Would love a release date for Indiana Jones.

Any other AAA games due this year that are likely to be featured? Hoping for some Ghost of Yotei or MGS (maybe a bit more than the leaked trailer). News on a remastered GOW trilogy would be great too.

    Or maybe Knack 3.

I think we will see a Valentine themed Dualsense.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,484 ✭✭✭DaveyDave

I'd just like something worthy of watching. Pretty much everything for the last two years now has been a let down to me unless you want yet another version of Final Fantasy or you're into Demonbornsouls/RPGs.

It would be nice to see something cool outside of Summer Game Fest/The Game Awards

Dualsense and the free perfume sample from the Bargain Alerts forum. Valentines Day sorted 😆

I'll be shocked if there isn't an astrobot update announced and probably live straight away

Lost Soul Aside, Onimusha, and Tides of Annihilation all looked good. No gameplay footage of Saros, the new game from the people who made Returnal, but I'm still ridiculously excited about it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,526 ✭✭✭✭Potential-Monke

I was convinced almost immediately that Saros was Returnal 2. Just had the same feel, and when the circle of bullets started to fade in I was convinced. Then the name reveal, Soros. Oh… then the lad saying it's the culmination of everything they've learned from Returnal. It had that same dread kinda feel as Returnal. Looking forward to it.

My guess is they want to keep the same sort of gameplay as Returnal (bullet-hell roguelike third-person-shooter), but wanted to separate it enough in terms of story, setting, how the roguelike elements are presented etc, that they went with a new name rather than call it Returnal 2 or something.

    Let's face it though, it's Re2rnal.

34% off Premium(100e instead of 152e) and 20% off Extra for new or inactive subscriptions.

I let mine run out in December so happy with this.

So lads am I mad in thinking about getting a PS5 more to just to get a PlayStation portal. With a busy house I rarely get time to play on the big tv but lots of time in bed to play on a handheld device the portal looks great for that.

I’m highly tempted but also think I’m mad in even considering it someone help me haha

If you’re looking for a handheld IMO a Steam Deck would be a much sounder investment. A far more versatile device than a PS Portal, which is more of an accessory and totally dependent on a good WiFi connection.

That's exactly what I did and it's class. The steam deck oled is great bit of kit and also has the added bonus of being super for ps remote play if you do get a playstation at a later stage so it's a no brainer.

I've the ps5 pro and steam deck - gaming overload 😀

Yeah as others said, Steamdeck would be the way to go if you don't already have a PS5. Completely self-reliant, cheaper, and far bigger library of games, with a lot of PS exclusives also now available on Steam.

You could also get a dock and a controller for the SD for those times when you do get to play on the big TV.

Thanks Gents I knew this would be the place to ask!

A lot of my gaming these days is ps streaming to my deck. Playing through cyberpunk at the moment - it’s great. And then when the tv frees up, switch over to ‘full screen’ seamlessly

Ugh turned on the ps5 for a bit of Ragnarok last night and comes up saying restoring database and have lost like 10+ hours of saves the cloud save hadn't synced in like a week for some reason. Not a terrible thing game is fantastic but I did a lot in that time...

Astros Playroom has just received an update adding some new items to the Gatcha.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 35,614 ✭✭✭✭Penn

Just redeemed points to get €20 on PSN. Unfortunately you can only do it €5 at a time, and after you do it once, it kept saying "Something went wrong" when you try do it again without leaving it for a while or fully closing the app.

Stupid that they removed the €10 and €20 options.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,090 ✭✭✭OhHiMark

Redeemed 15 quid worth of points to my wallet and picked up sekiro for 20 quid. Finally cheap enough for me to give it a try.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 35,614 ✭✭✭✭Penn

Awesome. One of my favourites of all time. It will take a while to get into it and it'll be somewhat frustrating at the start, but stick with it. Once it clicks, the combat in the game is just one of the best combat systems in any game.

I'm hoping so. I don't like soulslike games at all but it's mainly the slow movement that I don't like. Sekiro hasn't got that issue but I still didn't want to pay full price in case it still wasn't for me.
