    Am i right in saying that some people are ringing argos and being told its in stock BEFORE there allocated collection day?? Most people that have collected seem to have just contacted the store rather then wait for a text saying its ready to collect

    Exactly. Not sure how they can stop people getting multiples as once you have paid for it they have to give it to you.

    Unless they disable the catalogue number for PS5 and set them to manned till only.

    People who ordered on the 29th and were cancelled got this email yesterday and those same people didn't order yesterday so its related to the first debacle.

    They don't "have to give it to you". You'll go up to collect it at the counter and they'll inform you that you are only allowed one per customer and refund you for the other ones.

    They will. If you have paid for it and have the receipt, Argos rule is that they give it to you. Remember getting a Macbook for 110€ few years back and they were refusing them at the manned till but honoured the ones on self service as they were already paid for. Some stores turned off the self service kiosks before they disabled the catalogue number.

    This was a pricing error as Macbook was meant to be over 1100€. Head office sent emails to stores to not honour them but those that usef self servicw got theirs.

    What's the story with Currys tomorrow? I have a digital but really need a disk and am willing to swap with money if anyone is interested.? Just to be clear I'm not looking to sell I'm looking to swap for a disk and I will pay the difference. I'm in Cork and I have the machine so it would have to be a physical swap its olnot a code or whatever

    Javagal said she's heard between 11-12 tomorrow but in stores only. Online or click & collect has not been confirmed.

    All PlayStation 5 Pre-Order stock has been allocated. Pre-Orders for PlayStation 5 are now closed. All pre-orders will be fulfilled by December 18th 2020. Next available stock date is January 2021.
    Our Customer Service team do not have any advance information on future stock availability.

    No, that's not correct. Any collected today were available from today as per the email/text they would have recieved.

    No, my email said my PS5 is available right now until tomorrow for collection so didn't have to wait for a collection text but wanted to confirm with the staff of the branch and that said it's sitting waiting for me

    If you are check StockX, you may get it cheaper than on ebay and at least it's guaranteed legit.

    I am paranoid now. I just chatted to my gf in full about her encounter in Argos and as stated above, She was told they do not have stock today but that i should receive a text tomorrow to collect and that there should be no issues once i have the reservation number .

    However, She wrote the reservation number down on a piece of paper when checking the sytem. What's to stop her from bagging this for herself now?
