    Hi All,

We have a sun room with a tiled pitch roof that has not aged very well and we would like to reclaim the space and use it as better living space, but I have a few questions:

Ideally we want to brick up the front and side with head height wrap around window maybe, and either a big window on the back wall or maybe sliding doors out onto a patio or deck.

Will I need planning permission? I'm not changing the size or the roof, but I presume I will since the window shape will be changing, but I'm not sure?

What type of trade person will I need for this? A builder and window fitter?

Anyone hazard to give me ballpark cost excluding the cost of windows and door.

Has anyone tackled this type of conversion before? We are hoping to use it going forward as part of an L shape kitchen living room.
