The General (1998) [Prime] - Audio out of sync

Was the audio always noticeably out of sync on this move?

I recently re-watched Jon Boorman's 'The General' on Prime and there were a number of occasions where the audio switches mid sentence, going from an on location sound, to sounding like it was dubbed over in post production.

A number of times it also wasn't matching up with the actors lip movements (Wasn't watching via bluetooth).

I know it's difficult to record audio on location or inside cars, but to my ears it was very distracting. It wasn't Tommy Wiseau bad, but noticeable.

Although I'm also wondering if what I watched on Prime was a 'PG' dub, as I always thought there was actual swearing in the movie as well.

Yeah its dubbed. Even the versions available 'elsewhere' online are dubbed. Truly horrible to watched a dubbed movie these days.
I had remembered liking this film when I first saw it years ago, but have to say its pretty weak for what it could have been.
