They’ve been giving David Clarke token ones for years so we at least know it’s never given on merit.

Quite the contrary it's always given on merit.

    You must have.

Most people would ilke to see a vaguely competitive All Ireland semi final.

Could they not limit the amount of training county teams are allowed to do or give teams equal access to facilities/coaches and training methods..or else just go professional altogether and let the market do its thing. This half in half out laize-lafairre approach is a disaster

    Never thought I'd find myself half-watching an All-Ireland semi-final.

But there you go. That's how one-sided and monotonous the sport has become.

Football is a poor show and not changing :(

It’s quite obviously not when one of the worst goalkeepers of the past 5 years can win a couple.

    Philly McMahon got strong

How long since a keeper has kept a clean sheet against the Dubs in Championship I wonder?

Only thing left to play for.

    Never mind.

You saying Clarke is one of the worst keepers of the past 5 years? One of the worst?

12 points in it with 12 minutes lift in an All Ireland semi final.

The winners have not lost a championship match in 7 years going for 6 All Ireland’s in a row

The monster is going to be hard stopped

McStay is a bit of a Dublin cheerleader isnt he.

Yes, he’s very poor. Go back and look at the last meeting of Mayo and Tipperary in 2018. or the game in Newbridge with Kildare.

‘In fairness to Philly, it’s not very obvious’.

No matter won wins you'll still spend your time on boards.ie moaning and obsessing about Mayo . really getting boring at this stage, get over what ever she did to you.

Get in Robbie. 1-2 from wing back.

Probably as often as yourself on boards moaning about Dublin.

McCarthy will surely come back looking for retribution?

Watch 2018 especially. Or kicking the ball out over the sideline when they’d won an all ireland.

Dirty and late. But will there be comment?????????

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,544 ✭✭✭Stacksofwacks

I'm not anti-Dublin, the players themselves are wonderful athletes and deserve huge credit for their attitude and what they've been achieving but the reality is there is one team operating effectively at a professional level and all the other teams at an amateur level. that's where we're at now

Good effort by Cavan but im sure a certain Mr Brogan will claim they've been out volunteered

I'd say the GAA are probably saying "Phew, it's only 14 points, we thought it was going to be a massacre"

Mayo are hardly prolific. This will finally be the year Dublin give Mayo the beating they deserve.
The 2019 All Ireland Semi Final says hi.

Of course not. There'd be lads setting up another account to talk about it if McCarthy made that tackle.

Don't really care about Dublin. 15 v 15 can see them getting 10 in a row. Makes it kind of pointless.

Sad ending for Galligan. Superb for Cavan tonight and all season. Give him an all-star!

Disappointed for Gilligan. Doesn't even matter at this stage and it's not as if the ref didn't get enough go all afternoon.
