    Anybody else had this happen?

For the past 5 years i was told 1gb coming soon, later, we can't tell you or we don't know and we would be lying if we told you a date.

Anyway, no other options i do the usual who is cheaper.
Back in July i upgraded my eir package to get the Apple TV boxes.
Which came with the So called Superior modem.
I have a TPLink VR2800 but because it doesn't have VOIP i can't use it.

Anyway for the past 10 years I've have 100mb. Where i currently live 5 years. Nothing changed. The line still has a max of 127mb. It was 137 so not sure why that dropped.

But the big issue is the actual sync speed is 80Mb. It dropped from 100mb. I used to get speeds of 97mb. The cabinet is 135m from my house as the crow flies.

Called tech said they put it back to 100. Would take 15min to go through. Ok buy, and waited. Nothing changed. Next day rang again after disconnecting the telephone líne and turning modem off. Let it reset. Still no change. I then learnt how bad the Sagecom modem is. You can't change anything! Other than wifi and basic networking stuff.

Everything streams slowly, goes low quality or freezes. Youtube runs 144p instead of 4k. Even Eir TV does the same. I wanted faster speeds up to 1000mb. Instead i go back in time 10 years!

Tech guy said he couldn't change it 85 was max even though 100 was possible. Líne was fine and modem.
    So who is responsible?

Let's just say I'm pulling my hair out!

Has VDSL with vectoring been in Ireland for 10 years now? I would have said you've been on 100Mb for like 8yrs and 70Mb for 2yrs. But maybe my memory fails me.

    These are the profiles:
    100m 100 2-20 100M_20M_FR
    300m 85 2-20 85M_20M_FR
    450m 80 2-20 80M_20M_FR
    525m 70 2-20 70M_20M_FR
    600m 60 2-20 60M_20M_FR
    (For TV users)

You're failing to prequalify for 100Mb FR so the OpenEir system won't permit you to be profiled that high. Really the difference between the two to end users shouldnt be noticeable. If user experience is crap you need to work out why.

Your probably right about the years.
I've always had the max capable.
And in the current house 100mb for the past 5 years.
I don't understand how it all of a sudden drops. And yes there is other issues. Ping spikes, speed fluctuation.
But it just the past few weeks.
I can't even get through to eir on the phone anymore either.
Éir TV is an App in the Apple box. It's not the old eirvision box.

@calebmcd - I’m not sure what your AV setup is like, but despite all my home network being gigabit Ethernet cabled, managed switches I had such issues with AppleTV 4K/5th gen stuttering on video even from my local Plex server instance as well as online video apps. I had BT’s 75Mbps VDSL service btw, and I wasn’t maxxing it out. Anyway, my poor video performance was due to HDMI negotiation. I powered down the AppleTV disconnected the HDMI, powered down the TV and pulled its HDMI cable too, powered down the AV receiver, pulled all the HDMIs. And by powered down I mean, switched off at the wall, not soft off. Left it all for 10mins, reconnected everything and then powered it all back up. And that was it, afterwards all of the content that had stuttered on before played perfectly. (I’m Cisco certified btw and work in a technical role for a very very large set-top box manufacturer).
