Yes they always say that but don't always ask for it. They'll ask for it for the PS5's though. You can be guaranteed.

It is normal to expect ID when collecting something of such high value. I brought mine on the 19th when collecting my PS5 and they definitely wanted it. The manager told me that nobody would get a PS5 without a valid photo ID.

On the 19th they had a list and I had to confirm my name, email address, phone number, pre order reference number and show my ID. Only then did they even go and get the PS5, stuck a pre printed sticker to it, scanned it and then I was handed it.

Very efficient setup.

For a PS5? Yes. Had to do the same with my Series X.

It is like basil fawlty replying to people. It's incredible how rude and condescending they are being.

Id be upset too if they took 20 pounds fine from me for trying use parcel motel.
Their response of saying their goods are not for EU's use is very Brexit sounding.

They are deleting facebook comments and blocking people on Facebook and Twitter as well for complaing

Sent a ticket to Shopto to delete my account and information after seeing this carryon. Didn't put in a preorder with them, but their responses, forced console bundling, and the £20 admin charge for cancellations is enough for me to stay clear of them.

Hmm, I'm still waiting on my Smyths text for C&C but it's outside Dublin so maybe they're going through them methodically. Not too worried since I know others are getting texts so hopefully just a matter of time.

They've more than one warehouse, they certainly have sent stuff out before from Carlow.

Sorry I haven't been following this thread, I've seen DPD mentioned a few times and this is more of a general question but I've noticed it takes about two days for DPD to pick something up from a supplier. Waiting on a parcel from the Netherlands that has 2-3 day shipping but only got picked up after the second day.

Was hoping to have it by Wednesday. Noticed the same two days with DPD from Nike in the UK.

They have been on the ball though, had a parcel misrouted to the Midlands in the morning that got delivered in Dublin that afternoon so fingers crossed they're working in the background.
