    Started doing shoulder taps lately.

in the gym and even on you tube I see people doing them very very quickly.

Are they supposed to be done really quick?

I like 3 secs each side.

You can practice both slow and fast reps though. Fast helps make you more co-ordinated. Easier strength wise though.

Faster is easier and defeats the purpose really.

Slow, controlled, with hips facing the floor will work your abs and upper body much more.

You can make them easier by widening your fee and/or narrowing your hands.

yeah, regarding faster - this is what I thought too. some people do the taps so quick, they barely have to hold themselves up. its like a race to see how many taps they can do in 20 seconds :)

    Yep!

Remembered I made a demo video of these for some clients over lockdown. Hope this helps.

If you're doing the taps that quickly, just do a plank.

    (I don't mean you specifically)
