Not paying your taxes is a scummy thing to do. If everyone did it, where would we be?

I pay into my farm to keep it alive most years and avoid paying tax on some of my non farm income sources. It's all legal and keeps at least two people employed on the farm. Does that make me scummy?

If people make no profit how can they pay tax? I bet this a non story in the end, it will only show a failing business model and that he is fully tax compliant.

is the problem the laws surrounding taxation, particularly for the more plutocratic elements in society?

Even if that is true....is a failing business model as you put it a good look for someone who seems to pride himself and build his image on how brilliant he is at running businesses?

Eaxactly. The core position of Trump was that he was a successful businessman, the king of deals, and that the country needed a person as brilliant as himself to fix the broken parts of the country, like he ran his businesses.

Even though anyone that had paid any attention new most of this already, what the tax return show is a man that is terrible at business, and far from hating socialism is actually only existing because other people are prepared (including the tax payer) to fund him.

Take his supposed business acumen away from him and what possible reason would he have to even run in the first place? So his very reason to be considered has been a total con job.

Now, of course for many they will deny that his business background had anything to do with them liking him. Just like they deny the race baiting, the calling out of people for being ugly, the attacks on Muslims etc.

But as each lie is stripped bare, one has to consider what it is that you are actually supporting. He has no track record of success, has achieved nothing during his 4 years (the judges is always mentioned but any GoP POTUS would have achieved that) and now the very core of his position is gone whaqt is left?

So is this the long hoped for "Gotcha!" ? Russia didnt work, Stormy Daniels didnt work, impeachment didnt work

There is no ‘gotchya’ being searched for. Everyone knows Trump is a conman, has been for years. I think the issue here is the “do as i say, not as I do” attitude.

The only reason Trump is still in place is because of his enablers in the GOP. Republicans near wet themselves when Obama wore a tan suit ffs.

We should defend our way of life to an extent that any attempt on it is crushed, so that any adversary will never make such an attempt in the future.

This is good parody posting. Not the best I've seen but pretty good.

It's parody of a Trump critic doing a parody of a Trump cultist who is also being over the top lavishing praise on Trump just to annoy Trump critics.
I could have removed a few levels there to simplify but what the hell...
blinding is a poster with a huge brain and that has been demonstrated many times in his contributions (may also be a joke?!).

Thing is he will probably try to spin this as him being the great businessman/dealmaker.....sure didnt he get other people to pay his tax for him!

He has no problem sending other men and women overseas to war.

Not paying your taxes is a scummy thing to do. If everyone did it, where would we be?

And you see what you have done there is made a simple mistake.

You have taken what I said about paying less tax and turned it into paying no tax and then got outraged about your own misinterpretation of it.

What do you think would have to happen for some of the anti trump crowd to become pro trump?..

He would have to become competent at his job and not lie all the time. There's a bigger chance of him coming out as pro-life than him suddenly becoming competent and honest.

In fact Trump was pro-choice for his whole adult life until he decided to run for the presidency when he suddenly became pro-life as he knew he needed to owner to the evangelical vote to have a chance of winning. He's a chancer.

Have you Volunteered for many wars?
Have you ever made use of a government grant, deduction, rebate, allowance? Are you sending a cheque to Irish water every month?

Are are you just taking The stance that is whatever is opposite to Trump is right?

My accountant rang me one year to tell me about an allowance I can claim back.

Was this not explained a few years ago?

There was some loophole under some old rules/regulations there that if a person/organisation lost a load of money then they could keep that to write off against future taxes with no expiry. And the loophole was that, say if I lost a billion on a casino, then that billion became mine to write off in the future. However, if my casino had a billion in debt at that time, and I did a deal with the lenders to write that down to 100m due to the loss then I still kept the 1bn paper loss for myself - even though in reality it was the lenders who were taking the loss and it was really now only 100m to my casino.

No, I am merely commenting that you continue to state that you are not a Trump supporter yet seemingly support his way of thinking. What I do is irrelevant, I do not put myself out as a person that can solve the ills of a country because of my amazing business background.

I do not stand up and declare that socialist what everyone else to pay for everything, whilst at the same time doing that exact thing myself.

The wealthy (all of them) don't pay tax (not their fair share anyway), surely this is common knowledge by now.

It's not quite that simple. in European terms our lowest paid pay very little income tax too. Fair share is a hard thing to work out, tbh.

Again, it has nothing to do with the allowances he claimed. I am sure they are all legal and above board. It is that he presented himself as this great businessman, that he could fix the country by dint of his business knowledge and ability to make deals.

These tax returns show that none of that is true, and explains why he has been so utterly useless at the job.

It explains the grifting he has been doing. Charging the secret service for using golf carts, excessive rates for rooms in his own courses to protect him. He need ed the money. He was broke, with apparently 300m of loans coming due in 4 years (at the time) and little prospects of being able to get that money due to the biggest advantage he had (the Prrentive) being gone.

It explains why he refused to release his tax returns. Many people speculated that the reason he wouldn't release them, despite saying he would, was because it showed him to be a failure and a leech on the county. And despite years of being called Fake NEws it turns out that it was right all along.

That's what Al Capone thought too... :D
    I should hope so.

Every department in america is investigating Trump. The dems are paying anybody reward money for any dirt they can dig up but they cant dig anything up.
