    What type of bird is this. Similar to seagull size little bit smaller.

    Several species of large gull in Ireland. Juvenile gulls often hard to distinguish. They take a few years to transform from mostly brown into adult plumage.
    Herring Gull probably the most common...so if it survives (gulls population in serious decline due to many factors including overfishing) may end up looking like this... https://birdwatchireland.ie/birds/herring-gull/
