I'm aware that it's easy to locate the Author of a Word document, an Excel sheet or a PowerPoint.

Is it similarly possible to obtain the Author of a .jpeg image which has been edited/stored on a PC?

    Thanks

See if there's location data. Then call round to their house

I've never seen it, other than 'watermarked' or signed images.

If the image is on the internet, open it in Google Chrome and right click the image and click "Search Google for image".

If the file is on a network, try to fin the oldest instance of a file with that name. Look in that location for drafts / previous versions.

If you are using Windows or similar system, navigate to the file location and right click on the file. This will give some information. However, realise that this information can be blanked, spoofed or misattributed.
