Just have 2 ewes and 8 lambs - bought in April this year. I'm now ready to sell some of the lambs. I've tags got so must tag them this week - have I to notify the department when I tag them or am I covered once I've them tagged?

If you're selling at the mart, they'll take the pink and white sheets. If you're selling to another farmer, you have to send the pink sheet to your local Dept office.

(This will make sense when you see the movement docket book :))

Is it the seller or the purchaser has to send in the pink sheet, for a farm to farm sale?

I always wonder what happens those sheets.. :)

I always send them in myself anyway. But I'm with you on what happens to them once they land in the local DVO - do they still have fireplaces in public offices? :D

The buyer meant to sell it in but when I’m selling I always send it in to ensure it does go in.

the buyer sends it to their DVO which may not be the same the same as the seller's

one way to get a penalty for cross compliance & warrant an inspection is to fook up on this
