We all know the drill, lets hope this is how it ends. 3pm Irish time start, finish depends on when they get the racing on.

    Come on tae feck Sam!

Very good Tour for Ireland ...getting that green jersey from Sagan was no mean feat

Of course outstanding Tour for Slovenia...

    Super for Australia

    Good For Colombia and Spain

Pretty poor for French and British

What size is Roglic, I need a 54cm, gotta be going cheap?

One of the best tours for as long as I can remember. Probably back to pre Lance days.

Wonder what odds were on Pog getting yellow before start?

Sam's gone full green, green spesh and all.

Does Sam have it in the bag or can there be a twist in the tail?

I think Sagan need to get intermediate and stage win go over take Sam. Sam is 55 ahead with 50 for stage win and 20 for intermediate

That would also require that Bennett basically doesn't place in either the intermediate or final sprints. So barring disaster Bennett should have it.

I’m scratching me head here trying to remember the last time the yellow changed hands on the last day of the GC battle.

Anybody remember last time, or was it Fignon and Lemond?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,047 ✭✭✭Itziger

Well, the rolling start would suggest there won't be a 120km TTT by Visma J.

Pogacar would get a right shock if they tried it! Smiles and hugs and patting on the back all around.

Think Hatch expected everyone to dismount and take a knee here.

Any sign of the champagne being passed out from the car window or do they have to ordered a 9 euro meal as well

Rob Hatch must be gunning down for a job over at Sky Sports

Hatch can't seem to get it into his head that Pogacar went and won that race more than Roglic lost it.

Think Hatch expected everyone to dismount and take a knee here.

What is his outrage about? Saying that it isn't the first time the TDF has shocked us, bit not in a good way now.

I am not sure taking a knee works when rolling along... Even if they are soft pedaling.

Will race for green be contested today or is it like yellow as in race was decided yesterday

Green will be contested at the intermediate and the finish, its the most prestigious sprint in the world!

Definitely there is no unwritten rule for the Green jersey like there is for the Yellow jersey.

I wouldn't be surprised though if Sagan did not contest the intermediate sprint in order to keep his powder dry for the finish

2011 Cadel Evans from Andy Schleck I think

    From the TDF app:

"It’s the seventh time the yellow jersey changes on the occasion of an individual time trial on the last or second last day of the Tour de France. Previous winners this way were Cadel Evans (in 2011 vs Andy Schleck), Greg Lemond (in 1989 vs Laurent Fignon and in 1990 vs Claudio Chiappucci), Stephen Roche (in 1987 vs Pedro Delgado), Jan Janssen (in 1968 vs Herman Van Springel) and Charly Gaul (in 1958 vs Vito Favero)."

Yes. It wasn't necessarily that he was disappointed that nothing happened, he was furious over it. Other commentators were just quiet whilst he was going off on one.

No breaks yet? I always wanted to see someone go hell for leather early on the last stage and try and get a lap done before the peloton - then just sit on and coast to victory a lap early!

I've only seen a few bits - have seen good numbers lining the country roads, but couldn't remember if they're usually thicker - have they restricted numbers?
