I was talking to someone recently. They told me they attended the wake of a Priest Friend of their's and before he was brought to the church the rosary was said in the Funeral Home. They said however that there was only three decades of the five said by the priests present. I asked them when this happened and it fell during Lent. Is it the usual to say only three decades during lent or is it because it was for a priest.

Both during Lent and for a priest, 5 decades is the norm. Although I have been at wakes where one decade has been said by a priest who I presume was rushing to other duties.
