No thread yet? thought people were always mad to start threads for the first few weeks anyway, that felt like the shortest Summer in history, anyway joining Ryan tonight will be.....

Chief Medical Officer Ronan Glynn will be on to update us on the latest about the virus.

Ellen Glynn and Sara Feeney who were rescued off the coast of Galway by a fisherman during the Summer.

Dr. Samar Fatima will talk about her father contracting and dying from COVID.

Legendary broadcaster Mícheál Ó Muircheartaigh will chat to Ryan in Croke Park about what a surreal summer it has been for the GAA.

Snow Patrol singer Gary Lightbody will join Ryan too, Snow Patrol were supposed to be a headline at Electric Picnic.

Also in studio will be Women in Harmony to perform their cover of Dreams by The Cranberries

Anyway it all kicks off at 9.35 tonight

    Hello, everyone

Good to see this thread back. Hope you are all well and all that.

One death in the line up, but two non-deaths (the kayak survivors)

2-1 ahead, blow the whistle on this series, ref - Life could pull off a shock victory.

I messaged The Lare Show on FB asking them for no more depressing stories about death and sickness we had enough of it this last decade on it. It was too late for tonight's episodes but maybe future episodes will be better. I said they should take inspiration from the.late legend Gay Burn and the show should get back to what it is meant to be to be controversial and to entertain not depress us.

I was going to say a drinking game could be played where each time Covid was mentioned a shot could be taken and each time Corona was said a beer could be taken but the hospitals are busy enough as it is tonight without adding our crowd :D

I'll definitely give it a go.

    Looking forward to it.

Since Covid the show has been more relevant to me.

It's not as if I'm going out or anything.

It's certainly puts Ryan is his element. Misery ever week of the year.

I feel the tension that only exists when two rival LLS threads emerge to do battle

    G'day mates!

    How're ye buddies?

How's the excitometer holding up? Is the needle in the red?

So that signals the end of the summer.
    Boooo

Not a hope I'll be watching. As expected an out and out covidfest and the usual clumsy attempts of Tubs trying to articulate the pulse of the nation as we come together by being apart buuuuullshít. No thanks.

I don't know why, but I was expecting something better in the lineup...

    I can’t wait for Ryan’s monologue.
    Really sets the tone.

    Minor.

Whatever key it's in, it's minor.

The Perfect Storm is on. Its alright but hardly great and its 20 years old now as well.
FF7 is on now on Virgin 1. You could always +1 it if you missed the start of it.
    Shooter is on Film 4.

To be fair to the LLS, it's not like Hollywood A Listers are hanging around Dublin doing nothing, ringing them up saying they are available for an interview - oh, hang on ...

    Whatever you say.

I had a good one. Sure could have been better but still made the best of it and that's why you have T.V because even in a Pandemic it never stops and there is plenty on it to keep one entertained.

Is that Spin 103 whatever. Absolutely muck radio station. It amazes me that that rubbish station is still going.

Look, I'm sure women in harmony are great

But I am in the mood to make a comment about them not being in harmony

I might need to work on that line, I'm out of condition (in more ways than one)

    Hi folks - back.

    But seems so odd.

Has covid altered anyone else's sense of time.

I feel like , I had no late late break, no holiday, no summer.

Not sure if it is old age or just covid head - is covid head a real thing.

It seems to alter the part of your head that controls time.
