a beautiful morning here in Meath, hopefully it will help towards drying out the saturated garden.

Down in Cork and my thought when the rain started this afternoon was that'll do the garden good. Weird how different the weather can be in such a small country.

Does that mean their entire data output is free in the same way it is for GFS? Great news if that's the case

That would be interesting to see, and while the charts on the ECMWF site are nice and clean looking, the site itself is buggy and they still seem oddly limited in terms of location zooms and time increments.

Very slow earlier, not much better tonight, probably a rush of traffic. No country by country as yet ( no zoom facilities for finer details which is my main interest ), generalized in a large scale but handy for getting an overview at least.

If you click on the map for your area you can get a Meteogram and vertical profile and other information.

Charts are huge when downloaded so will need to be resized.

Lots of date in there ,some maps are poorly sized, some are blurry so a bit of sharpening up to do.

Peacefully quiet with just the occasional PUFF of wind to remind that wind can still happen.

Cool , but not excessively so, and the rain has stopped. There were some desperately heavy deluges earlier.

Progression to parky. A sneaky wind with ice on its breath, and dark, dark clouds lurking.

A day to stay home and light the fire..

The cold is intense now; had to light the fire earlier than usual. Shivers

Yep, some handy stuff like local meteograms etc, but as it stands, I can't see myself rushing to that site with any great urgency when runs are released.

    A lovely evening in wexford.
It was a nice one in the West also with a lovely sky scape to conclude the day. A decent autumn day here that allowed the place to dry out a bit after yesterday's rain.

Coastal gale in full spate, hurling rain against the windows.

    It was so peaceful earlier...

met.ie tell me it is Force 8, south westerly; hence the battering on the windows. Different directions play different music. SW is percussion. Drums and cymbals

Same in Letterkenny, sudden burst of torrential rain and wind has really picked up. Haven't paid much attention to the forecast this week so was surprising to hear the thundering rain after such a nice sunny day

A very very wet morning. Rain is loudly drenching the roof as there is little wind to batter it against the windows.

It is dark and drab . I feel for anyone who has to go out in this.

Lovely day in East Clare today, one heavy shower at 4pm..
Gone cold now 5 degrees outside.

A chilling early morning, with wind sound a strong feature. We have truly moved totally into late autumn. Winter is hovering in the wings.

    Beautiful day in Dublin.

Signs on the models of it turning chillier from the northeast or east for mid to late October.

Not so, 40km west of the city centre. Cloudy with outbreaks of drizzle. Slate grey to my west so something a little heavier in the cards, perhaps. Cool and breezy too.

Are there any radar maps showing the continuous bands of heavy rain sweeping through every 5-10minutes??
Neither Met. IE nor Dark sky have ANY rain to be seen. :(
