I'll believe it when I'm not standing and waiting...

Occasionally I end up getting a maynooth train in the other direction (got one yesterday) around 9/9:30 and its usually 8 carriages long, and about 90% empty. While I realise trains have to re position I think it's weird. It's mostly the only time I'm on a long train.

Id imagine that train will be busier once the college term returns, not to mention id imagine it would be busier coming back into the city

Maynooth line is pretty much the only one with significantly anti-peak flows, due to the college. Outbounds are as full as inbounds and v/v for those 9 months.

4 carriages this morning standing room only.

A colleague mentioned their train (not sure which) had a new carriage on it this am

Back to three carriages and jammed this morning. Couldn't actually get on the train had to get the next one. Which was also jammed but at least I got on.

We must be back to peak on a Wednesday and close to it Tues/Thurs.

Yeah they reported reduction in carriages to a number of Maynooth services today due to vandalism , not sure if that was one of them .

Separate note, revised timetable from Monday earlier/later departures and longer trip times.
