Finally settled on this ahead of tomorrow:

    McCarthy (Nyland)
    TAA Doherty Lascelles O’Shea (Douglas)
    Auba Salah Son Burke (Reed)
    Werner Ings (Davis)

Ended up changing most of my team but I wanted to be sure of 11 starters with good fixtures to hopefully get off to a decent start so I won’t lose interest. I considered Livermore as my sub midfielder but Reed gives me 0.5m to play around with next week.

I’d be looking at Davies over Doherty & perhaps Justin to Coleman while starting Perreira this week.

Why have Perreira in your team at all if you are not playing him against Leicester who have no defenders & will be playing a midfielder centre half??

    Plus they are at home!

Doherty im thinking because of his attacking potential. Justin the same thing really. I could drop one of the defenders and start Pereria instead. It remains to been seen how he will perform first day out anyway.

    McCarthy (Nyland)

    TAA, KWP, Tierney, (Lascelles, Douglas)

    Salah, PEA, Son, Havertz, Soucek

    Wilson, Mitro (Davies)

2m ITB for a probable Havertz to Bruno.

Might punt on Mane over Salah yet.

Cheap up top but I think it'll all be about the mids this year and can see myself going 4-5-1 soon.

Haven't put a huge amount of time into it this year but think I'm happy enough with it. Any suggestions welcome.

    HELP ME PLEASE!

    (Martin and Johnson are fodder)

Help you ? Get stuffed. That looks a great team. You don’t need any help.

I really like it. You’ve kept it simple. Very good GW 1 team which I think some of us are overlooking.

I would probably find a better 4.5m option than Taylor and I wouldn’t be willing to spend 5.0m on Egan but Taylor would be my priory to replace.

The players you’ve picked have great prices for making transfer over the next 2-3 weeks.

    Love the Pereira pick.

    Good team.

Right I think I finally have my team sorted.

    Mc Carthy ( Ryan )

    Trent, Justin, Egan, Doherty, (Mitchell)

    Aubu, ASM, Salah (Pereira, Bissouma)

    Wer
    Werner, Ings, Mitrovic

Nothing in the bank and ultimately I would like to bring in KDB Bruno and Martial.

    Any comments?
For a RMT team for that team ill give an 82% solid team but Perreira id swap out and not much exit strategy for the City and United assests

    Ive McCarthy
    Trent Vinagre KWP
    Salah Auba (c) ASM Soucek
    Werner Ings Mitro
Steer Greenwood Taylor Mitchel .5 ITB

Plan is Ings - Martial Gw 2, and Salah/ Auab- KDb Gw 3

Coleman & Davies will offer attacking potential too. Coleman higher % of clean sheets more so then Justin.

Agree on Perreira but why have him in the team then... they play Chelsea & Everton after Leicester? Is there another player appealing in that bracket?

4 4 2. McCarthy, TAA, Swiss, Robbo, Justin, Auba, Salah, Son, Soucek, Werner and Wilson, what ye think? Bench poor.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,049 ✭✭✭Brian201888

    McCarthy ( Nyland )

Davies, TAA, Robertson, Justin ( Douglas )

Salah, Auba, Ali, Soucek ( Reed )

    Vardy, Mitro ( Watkins )

Watkins a little expensive to have on the bench but he'll be the main man for Villa and scored a lot of goals in the Championship last year, appeals to me more than the likes of Adams.

Vardy is an easy move to Werner/Martial but I'm surprised by how few teams he's in given he won the golden boot and he's West Brom, Burnley opening two fixtures.

Watkins to start over Soucek week 2 and that'll give me a solid team there too with the obvious problem everyone will have in that I'll have 3 Liverpool against Chelsea but i should be happy with just making that sub and banking the transfer while I decide how to get City/United players in

It's draft 7000 but I think it makes sense at this point. Captaincy toss up between Vardy/Salah/Auba

    GK: Schmeichel (Martin)

DEF: Alexander Arnold, Doherty, Coady (Ayling) (Taylor - BUR)

MID: Aubameyang (c), Salah, Dendoncker, Klich (Oriol Romeu)

    ATT: Werner, Jiminez, Mitrovic

Had what I thought was my team sorted. Instead I've made 9 substitutions tonight, but I'm happier with the overall result. I know Klich is probably the weak spot, but I couldn't not have a Leeds player starting for week 1 at least. :)

Nice team but would personally downgrade Schmechel to 4.5. Ayling/Taylor to 4m and funds on Dendocker.

    McCarthy - Peacock
    TAA - Vingare - Taylor - Justin - Mitchell
    Salah - Auba - Son - ASM - Bissouma
    Kane - Ings - Davis

Unsure of my 4.5m defender picks but have to settle eventually! Fairly happy with this team.

I think I've chickened out of No Salah... :(

And I've just put in a player I've not seen in one single draft who has 0.3% ownership.....

    Time for bed!

  • Registered Users Posts: 119 ✭✭Borgo

    McCarthy - Nyland

    TAA - Digne - Doherty - Koch - Diop

    Aubameyang - Lundstram - Soucek - Saint Maximin - B Fernandes

    Werner - Jimenez - Mitrovic

    0.5 left in bank.
Bruno on the bench and ready to come in GW2.
Will prob keep Auba for 2 weeks and then bring in KVD.
Also I will probably change this another 25 times in the morning.

    How often will they start?

TAA/Stephens assuming Stephens isn't first sub

    Salah/Soucek or Son/Puli

    McCarthy
    TAA, Doherty, Tierney, KWP,
    ASM, Salah, PEA, Son,
    Werner, Calvert Lewin

    Bench: nyland, Douglas, Bissouma, Brewster

Excited about this. Haven't managed to keep interest most years but this gw1 with some big teams not playing is interesting. Can see some people falling into a trap with United city players. Dcl should have good service at Everton now but he will be out the door at gw3 if not showing potential, getting in good positions.
Want kdb for either of Salah , pea then.

Aubameyang captain . Too much of a risk in Salah against a good Leeds side.

Vinagre. Change him. They signed a new full back and he's rumoured to be leaving.

Vinagre will probably be gone, being linked with a move away

    Couple of last minute changes.

    Ryan (Nyland)
    TAA Robertson KWP (Lamprey Laporte)
Gordon S-M Auba Salah (C) (Neto)
    Connolly Kane Nketiah

I really wanted to captain Auba, but 12.30 KO, 1st day Salah at home against high pressing newly promoted Leeds, who lost one of their key defenders (Ben White) it has to go to the pool player.

lovely team, probably because it's similar to mine but I have Ayling & O'Shea for Egan and Vinagre

Still trying to decide last few positions

    A) Kwp, Son, Adams

    Or

    B) Tierney, Asm, Ings

    B) Ings is must have for me. Tierney is their best defender and ASM is nearly a defensive pick given how many people have him.

    McCarthy

    Tierney, Justin, KWP TAA

    Son, Salah, Auba

    Werner, Adams, Mitro

.5 in the bank. Tempted to downgrade Tierney and upgrade Adams or Mitro to Antonio, Wilson or even Calvert Lewin to be a little different.
