I bought one ...it was working very well but afterwards two weeks it just stopped. I returned it to local store with no difficulty and took another one . When I turned the new one on it was making a different sound so obviously there was something wrong initially with the first machine.

It works well. I placed it on the upstairs landing with its vent house connected to an extension hose pushing the hot air through an upstairs window. I am happy with it for the price though I won't be getting much use for it until next summer .

You can get a good quality air con wall mounted unit with outdoor unit these days for a decent price supplied and fitted. They do heating and cooling. Like the hotels in Spain or whatever but newer and more reliable brand. Id imagine alot cheaper to run than the portable yoke.

Ive yet to see a portable one like these that is any more quality than an open freezer sat beside you.

I see these are back in Lidl now for 150€.
I got one at the weekend because my dormer house gets very hot in good weather and the forecast looks like its getting hot.
They are also selling air coolers in lidl for €50 but they dont work very well in Ireland because of the humidity.
Your better off just getting a nice low noise fan instead.
