I may as well add my record day yesterday to the pile too. 24.2Kwh on 4.4kw south/south-east.

This is what's happening me too, on good days I'm being clipped for about 2 hours from 8kW to 6.5kW or so, 6kW output and .5kW to the house load and trickle into the batteries for balancing only.

The problem is, as soon as I change my battery setup to not charge to 100% overnight, it will change the weather and it will rain and have no solar at all 😁

I should add, 8kwp sse facing, hit 30kwh yesterday, already over 15kwh today so far so hoping for that 35+

A tad over 30 kwh for the 2nd day in a row ....Alas forecast is bad for the next couple of days

    Yikes you weren't kidding.

Tomorrow (Sat) and sunday look bleak. Back to decent on Monday though. That aside, March so far has been pretty good to be fair.

Rock Star day today for end of March 39 kWh on my 6.1kWp system

Got a bit cloudy after 12 but not that bad…tomorrow mightnt be all that bad also

What size inverter have you. Mine doesn't produce more then 5.5, but oddly had 3 spikes yesterday of over 6 so not sure what happened there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,758 ✭✭✭ECO_Mental

Its a plain auld Solis 6kW..if this was a hot summers day it would top out around 5.5kW though. The heat makes a difference, the clouds coming out cooled the panels enough to let it spike to 6kW. It won't sustain 6kW only in spikes

Another best day for the year. 19kwh. And taking me 6kwh above the total for March last year with 7 days left in the month.

4kwp South East facing PV System. 5.3kwh Weco battery. South Dublin City.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,144 ✭✭✭DopeTech

Only had solar installed last week.

5.4kWp Solis hybrid inverter, 6 panels facing south and 6 facing west, no battery.

    Does this look about right?

Why does it say 0 load despite things switched on in the house?

I'm NOT anything like the experts here, but I have 15 panels South facing and got 33.8 today so I'd say your pretty ok

Best day of the year so far, 9.1kWp E/W , coastal Northeast.

Like others, great day yesterday. Just curious though, I have a 4.4kw system and the inverter apparently is 5kw. Max output stops at 3.6kw which is about 82% of max output for the system. Does this look right?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 435 ✭✭jiminho

This goes with my question above but you mention you have a 6.1kw system and it looks like you’re hitting the max potential output of your system at the top of the curve (6.1kw). Is this the norm here in Ireland?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,328 ✭✭✭✭VinLieger

Whats your panel setup look like? Ive got a 4.4 but its split 4 east and 6 west so i will never hit the max output as even though midday it will hit both sets of panels it will never be in optimal position so the max output is impossible.

only 5kwh grid used in the 7 days from 17th to 24th

None at all on Wednesday and Saturday

Not really…it can hit 6kW in bursts (in between clouds) but if its a clear sky the panels get hot (like all PV panels) and the output is reduced by 10% or maybe a bit more. The graph below is from yesterday where we had clear skies until about 2pm and as you can see I only reached 5.5kW even though I have 6.1kWp installed and a 6 kW inverter.

    image.png

Here is a perfect day on my system 44 kWh, 10th May last year. I have never got above 45 kWh in a day

How long did it take you to get 14MW?

I should get my first MW today since the end of October 😂

Installed solar back in Oct 2021, so 3.5 years give or take. I upgraded it with an extra 1.2Kwp in 2023 bringing me to 6.5Kwp on the main roof. I do about 4,600Kwh off the main roof and another 1,900Kwh off my shed. Milestone above is just the main roof.

Today is going to smash my record for March I think. Going to be some good numbers posted later I'd say. Also Tuesday/Weds coming are looking VERY good for Dublin if the forecast holds.

Gonna be a record breaker up here too.

We've all our barley in the ground in mid march and it's been a few years since we've got it in this early

Got 20kwh today and on track to be very close to 100kwh better than last March.

4kwp South East facing PV System. 5.3kwh Weco battery. South Dublin City.

March-April 2022!! the legends are true, I lived to see it …775 kWh for March 2022 about 40% better than this march

We had 12 days of endless sunshine 😎 last 9 days of March and into the first week of April.

The rest of the summer was epic as well.

Yeah, that was a phenomenal month (March '22). In terms of record setters today was the single highest day I got in March since install. I generated 24.5kwh today beating my previous March daily high of 23.9Kwh back on 30/3/23. Interestingly today (below in Red) was more solid in terms of sunshine, where 30/3/23 had a bit of broken clouds but the yield was pretty similar.

    image.png

Curious that there is nearly a 1.5Kw delta there around 2pm between todays and the sun coming out from behind the clouds 2 years ago. Guess the panels were a bit warmer today

At 64kwh produced today near Arklow so far,we are approaching a new high and might go way over 70 as we’re still pumping out 8kw at 5pm

Ended up with 74.2kw of which 26.8kwh was exported

Delighted with that! And she’s still putting out a bit,.03 kw as I speak

    0.38kwh imported

That's massive production alright. What size array do you have?
