Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Yes I thought it was gonna be another write off today. But have 4.5kwh today so far which is a sight better than the last few days. Battery charged back up and 2kwh sold back to the grid.

Edit. Ended up with 7.3kwh in the end. Not the worst for this terrible weather

10.4kwh in East Cork. Not bad considering it was drizzling most of the day.

Not sure where 16.5kwh came from today, probably from a parallel universe if I was to guess since every time I looked outside it was overcast.

So the quote I have, AFTER the 40% discount, is €4,850; no thanks. I can't imagine there are too many being sold at 100% / full price....

Ended the day with 8.3kWh from 6.5kWp E/W. There was a few short periods of sunshine but for the most part thick clouds. The generation surprised me as for the most part the day looked just as cloudy as the weekend.

On the display on my Solis Inverter to the right of the panel it reads

    0.33kW

    Pardon my ignorance

    What exactly does that mean?

as con says its what you are generating. its not a lot but it could cover the base load in the house if it remained in and around that level. worst case its at least reducing the amount of power required from the grid. for reference i'm currently drawing just over 800 watts (0.8kW) which ain't great either.

    19kwH today ( 8kW E/W Split) in Galway. I’m getting closer to breaking 20kWh!!😂

Nice to see the bills dropping though. Since I’ve had the system installed in December, my last three monthly bills ( not including Govt credits)

    Dec: €160

    Jan €120

    Feb: €40

So I’m hoping the downward trend and credit will now continue through the summer and into September anyway.

12.6kWh from 6.5kWp E/W in Dublin. There was some proper blue skies and light coloured clouds around 2-3pm but still cloudy throughout so the solar generation is spotty.

Guys, (especially those of you who may recently have purchased a system including a battery, or have a recent quote for both with and without a battery) - am I missing something here? €4,850 after 40% reduction is c. €8,000 at full price..... for a 5KWH Huawei battery? Are there other components, like a controller module etc, pushing up the price here, or is it just price gouging? €8K is around the (pre-grant) price for the 9 panel system I purchased, and I've seen quotes posted that include €3.5K extra for a 5KWH battery.....

Apologies if I'm derailing the thread, and thanks in advance for any advice.

13kWh, 6.5kWp E/W Dublin yesterday. It's funny some of the questionable cloudy days have been the best so far this month.

Sun is beaming down with clear blue skies this morning but will be cloudy with rain at lunchtime. Oh well!
