*looks at painting I was sent by Ecto

    Yeah, this could get interesting

Right so, some preparation for the evening's festivities. Am working off a borrowed laptop so might be a bit slower than normal. Hopefully that'll just give you guys time to really ponder on each players descriptive and/or artistic skills :)

Please try to limit any reactions to "wow, that's quite like what I saw/described" or "hmm, that looks a tad different"...in other words, try not to give anything away.

This one was *slightly* different, because I got to play :). Instead of sending out an image, I selected an image and then got to send a description - which you will see shortly

    On your marks...

Just got to get the nipper to sleep but I'll be back in time to hear the praise for my masterpiece :pac:

    This was the original image:

    eJqTxWp.jpg?1

From this, I sent Pretzill the following description:

Lake, forest, boats, docks, picnic bench, family with buggy, cyclists.

Now...let's see where our night takes us. :D

And I think you're all going to have to agree that from that description, Pretzill did an amazing job with this:

Trigger was quite impressed by Pretzill's artistic skills and offered up this description:

Social distancing, cyclist, lake, boats, dog Walker, big bloody trees!

Brilliant work, it's so much like the original it's more like a caricature of it

Trigger's description of Social distancing, cyclist, lake, boats, dog Walker, big bloody trees! really inspired davetherave who offers up for your delectation this gem:

So two links in and I think we'd have to say that things have stayed fairly accurate for a game of MS Paint.

Deleted User was up next to the describer's spot. He suggested that the following description best suited dave's image:

    Six Men on X's.
    Lake. Boats. Trees.
    Cyclist. Dog walker

Looks a bit like a giant whirlpool, we'll have killer octopuses before we know it :p

Homer's description to fixXxer was Six Men on X's. Lake. Boats. Trees. Cyclist. Dog walker

I have to say, I enjoyed what fixXxer made of that:

I can't even criticize these paintings, since my efforts wouldn't be nearly as good as them

Edit: Okay, I take it back, I love fixxxer's cubist style :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,726 ✭✭✭Pretzill

Very clever Fixxer - the "6" men are inspired

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,982 ✭✭✭✭Deja Boo

fixXxer's inspired painting did cause bolgbui41 a *teeny* bit of consternation. There may have been some swearing ;):D

I think this gave one of my favourite bits of description though with:

    Sunny park

    bike, lakes, trees, man, dog

    sassy anthropomorphised 6s

As much as I enjoyed bolgbui41's description of Sunny park, bike, lakes, trees, man, dog, sassy anthropomorphised 6s, twirlagig may have found it a bit of a challenge to begin with. I think we can all say that twirl more than rose to the occasion though with:
