I just saw a post on twitter from a Galway - Dublin train where people are crammed in together sitting on the floor in the train corridors as there is no room in the carriages.
I am supposed to be using the train myself at the weekend and booked my ticket online as usual, but couldn’t pick a seat as they are not being allocated.
So does this mean I am likely to run into a scenario similar to that Galway - Dublin train where I’ll be sitting on the floor or have to wait for another train and hope for the best that it isn’t crowded?!!
Having everyone clamber onto the train at once trying to find a seat sounds like a social distancing nightmare. Why not make full use of their online seat reservation system and only allow people on trains who have booked a seat?
