Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

So, we are building a house and wondering if we should include solar or not. Has anyone any experience with PVT panels? (PV panels cooled by cold water which is pumped into the heating system?

Sounds like a gimmic and a likely point of failure. PV doesn't get that hot in Ireland, the cells absorb most of the energy while the glass reflects what's left.
They'd be great for the Sahara, Dubai etc...the colder PV is, the better it works.
We do pretty well with wind chill. Unless you go buy bleedin' silly sticky thin flexible non UV stable panels and heat sink them to a van roof...popular idea... ...dead in 4 years
