Does anyone know if an eir technician needs to visit your current property to disconnect services as part of the moving house/ services process?

I've tried contacting customer care but after being on hold for over 1 hour the customer service rep couldn't answer my question.

Unexpectedly need to move rented apartment and unsure if I'll be able to give Eir enough notice (awaiting move in date depending on electricity connection) if they do need to disconnect here - or can I just pack up and bring my equipment with me?

    Thanks!
