Well if you insist, I'm 52, but there are plenty around older than me. 37 is nothing in Boards terms.

    What a strange thread.

Help the Aged run these great classes for older people to help us use modern technology. I have a young person coming around next week to show me how to use the microwave.

I'm teach young people lost life skills and wisdom. Currently I'm teaching setting VHS recorder timers - we're up to two week multi timing, now.

They don't appreciate it now, but that will really stand to them in the future.

When do you do programming the cd player to playback songs in a different order?

It was going fine until I suggested that they must leave the VCR plugged in but they could unplug the tele. That melted their heads.

You mean so the songs will fit evenly on a blank tape? That's the ticket.

But we get to teach the young ones about old school tech.

My son got a Playmobil fire station a while back that had phone with a cord. He wanted to know why the phone had a cord attached to it and what that was all about!

He was also amazed when I told him that in my youth, it wasn't possible to pause TV and that I had to get off the couch, walk to the TV and click a button to change channel or volume.

Don't leave 4 minutes of blank tape at the end of side one.
    That's just a teaser.

Next thing they'll be claiming that some of them are women.

    Is Srameen still around?

I'll be 34 this year, it doesn't bother me,. Although it did somewhat annoy me when I was buying a bottle of alcohol last weekend and the Tesco woman didn't even ask me to remove my mask before confirming that "Clearly" he is over 25.

You're wasting their time. They can just go to the TV listings in the Evening Press (or better still, the RTE Guide) and get the programme code to input into their video recorder. Cuts out all the timing faffing and is compatible with VHS and Betamax.
