I am trying to get the UK and Irish channels using a sky dish that is on my roof. My TV has a built in satellite receiver (LG 65UM7450PLA)

I am trying to tune it in using the following satellite and frequency, but I am only coming up with a load of channels I'd have no interest in.

There is no BBC, no RTE, but it has the god channel and African dramas! Am I doing something wrong?

If you can find a Menu to manually scan transponders, use the details here for BBC. RTE is encrypted and you have to pay Sky to see it on satellite.

If you're looking for RTÉ and the other Irish channels that are on Saorview, you need an aerial. They don't broadcast for free on Satellite, only with a Sky subscription

That LG TV has Freesat built in, so if you want a 7 day EPG and 101 being BBC One etc, you need to set your broadcast country to UK and it will prompt you for a UK postcode. I use London (SW1A)

Thanks for the replies and the help lads.

Setting my location to the UK gave me some progress. Now I'm getting the TV guide for all the UK stations but no actual picture coming in.

I had a go at manually tuning them in without much success, but I didn't have that much time to spend on it. I will try tonight / tomorrow when I hopefully have a bit more time to figure it out.

The dish that is on your roof - was it used for Sky Q previously?
