    for a small holding of just over 10 acres is sheep a much better alternative to keeping cattle, we did keep some cattle before

    Sheep require better fencing and grass management, sheep don't thrive well on long grass whereas cattle utiise it alright.
    We've eighty breeding ewes on ten acres here, it's very intensive, over 200 sheep on the ten acres at the moment.
    We've a lifetime of sheep farming behind us,....... semiretired now though

    ok no test with sheep like cattle but is there more profit in them
