Faithless (savage garden would have got the nod over 90% of others, but faithless pretty much owned the 90s for dance music)
    Blink 182
Coldplay (getting the nod but wouldn’t consider them a 90s band, parachutes has a release date in 2000, it’s kinda sneaky sticking them in here, but they should never win best anything of the 90s)

G’wan Faithless. I would have been pissed off if they went out in Round One to savage bloody garden!

REM - will be tough to find anything beating these with the amount of quality they put out in the 90s
    Sinead
Blur, had previously got DG but just seen that white ladder wasn’t released until 2000

Portishead vs Sinéad O'Connor is a horrible match-up for Round 1, both deserve to get to the Final 16 at least. :(

Kinda wanna vote anti-Blur but David Gray is depressing as all hell so will abstain

Mainly cos his singing voice from Babylon is beyond comprehension... Sounds like this....

I never got the love for David Gray or his big wobbly head either. Can't stand his whiney bleating voice, like if you crossed Bob Dylan with Dolly the Sheep.

I actually quite like the song 'This Year's Love' but wish it was someone else singing it!

Lisa Gerard can actually sing though, crucial difference! :p

Would agree on Coldplay. Yellow came out in 2000. They shouldn't be here.

Aphex Twin - never really liked Metallica

Oasis - not a big fan but can appreciate they were more prolific and had more impact than OCS

    Massive Attack

U2 - probably stronger in the '80's overall but they still did some cool stuff in the '90's.

Metallica ; who doesn't love a bit of Metallica

Oasis ; tough call between these two, but there's no denying that Oasis are great and probably more worthy of keeping a place in the comp

Offspring ; another tough call, but Offspring had some great sing along CHOONS!!!

Ace of Base ; had some great hits, but more importantly Bono can f**k off... :D

Aphex Twin vs Metallica - not a fan of heavy metal but The Black Album is essential 90s
Ocean Colour Scene vs Oasis - Oasis for me is what Sinead O'Connor is for necro :)
Offspring vs Massive Attack - Masterpiece after masterpiece in the 90s
Ace of Base vs U2 - I really liked Ace of Base, but U2 get the vote for Achtung Baby alone.
