Meh, with Björk already gone and one of Pumpkins/Radiohead also going out, the competition's a farce anyway. Kolido put a lot of work into this and you lot all fúck it up by consistently giving the wrong answers. :(

Not that I'm bitter or anything.....

The fact that Bjork lost to TLC makes it even worse.

I actually like TLC but like.....there's no comparison. Björk is consistently one of the most innovative and adventurous musicians out there, who released three top quality albums and several fantastic music videos in the '90's.

And I don't generally mind the Prodigy all that much, but against the band that released Let Love In and The Boatman's Call in the '90's....again, no comparison.

I can't help but think these competition threads would go much better if everyone was allowed have their say but mine was the only vote that actually counted! :pac:

I'm down to 2, and one of them only got through the last round because it was up against another of mine. Might have made it anyway with a different draw, but I wouldn't have put any money on it.

I love the Stone Roses but we're comparing Second Coming with the output that the Manics had in the 90's. There should only be one winner.

TLC had a couple of decent songs but Bjork is on a whole other level. Disappointed that Nick Cave is gone but it could have been worse, he could have lost to Steps :pac:

And see I just find Bjork and Nick Cave, drab, moany and boring.

Variety is the spice of life!

If I'm remembering correctly what I submitted, I *think* I now only have two nominations left, both of which I voted against in the last round because they came up against two of my other nominations!

    Feck sake. >__<;

yeah, I'm reconciled to the fact that in this competition everyone just votes for their favourite band.
I could understand Nick Cave losing to Prodigy - I actually nominated both of them and although through the years I really grew into Cave's music, I still like dancing to Prodigy's songs.

But if someone could explain to me how Eminem is getting through with just 1 album in the 90's?

2025 gigs: Selofan, Alison Moyet, Wardruna, Gavin Friday, Orla Gartland, The Courettes, Scissor Sisters, Nine Inch Nails, Rhiannon Giddens, New Purple Celebration, Nova Twins

I didn't vote for him in the last round, but he had 2 albums in the '90s in fairness to him

This is why I voted against blink 182. They are one of my favourite bands but they are a noughties band to me and not a 90s one

Love her or hate her, I didn't think the word "boring" could ever be used to describe Björk!

well, the first one was self released, so does it really add much to him being the greatest music act of the 90's?
For me he really took off in the 00s with the Marshall Mathers LP.

I appear to have 5 left in the game

I don't think any will win but you never know

True, but is that really all that relevant? He was active in the '90s regardless of mainstream popularity. Someone nominated him and people are voting him through. None of us have to like it, but we all should accept it - it's democracy at play.

Slim Shady LP is criminally under-rated imo. He goes a bit too dark in parts of Marshall Mathers LP with the whole 'Kim' stuff. Better selling yeah but he still has multiple Platinums for Slim Shady LP.

I've got two left and I'm resigned to the fact that neither will win.

My heart has been broken so many times in this tournament that I just feel numb now.
